Been away from photography (and a lot of other stuff) for a while due to Triathlon interests, since picking up an injury i decided to spend a bit more time doing some of the things i love. Here is one of Grasmere from a recent trip to the lakes.

Wow that's a great image Chris and yes it does look like a ship. I like the symmetry of the sea/sky with this and although some wont like it i think the framing of the shot works well. Id be interested to see a few more from this set.
Last year i had a good crack at a 52 managing 44 weeks before having surgery and becoming pretty immobile for a few weeks. Rather than commit to a weekly image i thought id have a go at something different.
This year i'm having a crack at my "project rainbow". I'm going to produce an image of...
Cracking shot Paul, its an interesting distortion and well framed. The quality part for me is the lighting, you have captured some lovely colours here and it gives a warm feel to it.
I have to agree with the above, to get the most out of the technique the priory would have to sit more imposing in the shot and then the technique should bring out the detail and texture of the stonework. If you want to improve this particular shot then a heavy crop up to the base of the first...
Theses are fantastic Jeremy a great set of shot and i thinkat least 3 from the first post will make next years calender. Just out of curiosity how do you know which tourist providers are ethical?
I love the sepia toned machines, really well processed for an ageing feel.
Faith, although it doesn't do much for me its a good still life with a nice shallow dof.
I like this Sue, it shows a good alternative of the word faith. As i was scrolling down i settled on the shot without the man's face just above his waist, i think this looks good too as it puts more focus on the dog looking up and therefore highlights the faith bit more, maybe a crop in this...
The first one for me Phi, i live the lines you have got with the composition, at first i thought pity about the fella walking but after a few moments of looking i actually think it makes the shot and as you say it gives it a bit of perspective.
