Sorry, I wasn't clear. Yes, you're right, of course, the cashback is from Canon, as it always is.
I jumped the gun a bit because I didn't see the offer on Amazon so I assumed it was limited to Park Cameras but I now see it elsewhere too.
As title really

Certainly worth a look and I can fully...
Thanks folks.
I think I'm pretty much sold on this lens now. Think I'll leave the flash for later when I might have a better idea of what I want. Just need some decent daylight now.
Thanks Bob,
Any ideas on what lighting I'd need? I'm interested in the usual bugs and flowers and would use it mainly outdoors. I'm assuming 100mm will give me enough range not to scare off the critters but I'm then assuming I'll need extra lighting.
Looking to get into macro photography. I have been looking at the Canon 100mm 2.8L macro lens and the price has dropped to £660 brand new (park cameras).
Is this the lens I should be buying? I have a Canon 550d. I haven't thought about extension tubes or reversing because I don't really...
I bought my camera in June along with 2 lens. I've already lost 3 lens caps :bang:
Jessops for a replacement was £6.99 each
Anyone know where I can get them cheaper (canon fit).
Hi Jambo,
I've got the canon 55-250mm on the same camera and I can vouch that it is a very good lens for the money. My copy is very sharp - was very pleased shooting flying birds and animals at the zoo.
The lens is less than £150 on Amazon - bargain IMO.
Just a quick heads up.
Quidco cashback for Canon is currently 8% but only until 31st Oct.
If you pay in total with Tesco vouchers you get the item for 42% if it tracks.
Hi Tysonator,
I was actually directing my question to Eyewhy who has replied above.
The procamerashop site looks a better site altogether but I'm assuming its still grey imports
I'm not sure about import taxes either
I may give them a call sometime when I have the cash...
Eyewhy,
You're not confusing this site with
www.procamerashop.co.uk
by any chance? I ask because they have a couple of good priced lens and I'd be interested to know how good they are (warranties and delivery). Not sure about the 3% off for paying by debit card though.
Hi,
I took the family to Lapland last year over Xmas. I took a Canon S3 bridge as I hadn't bought a DLSR then.
Some tips:
Average daytime temperature was about -15 and there are only about 4 hours of daylight (and it's weak daylight). The inside temperatures were around +25 - which is...
I watched one the other day. It sat on a branch which bent over just close enough to get to a peanut feeder where it ate peanuts one after the other for at least 10 minutes. I was surprised when it flew away - even more surprised it didn't burst, greedy pecker.
