Peak Design - foray into the tripod and Kickstarter

Aren't most (all?) of PD's releases Kickstarters? Their bags and clips were. I've got their sling which I utterly love, and the capture clip is a great invention. This is going to sound very fan-boy, but I genuinely think they put a lot of thought into their designs, a proper analysis of what...

So it really is time to ditch Adobe

My main issue with potentially losing LR Classic is I have an A7R2, and RAW files are circa 85mb each. Even with a half-decent broadband connection, that's a weighty upload. The only thing I use the phone or web app for is culling and flagging - I find the editing in Classic much quicker, easier...

The Amazing Sony A7 / A9 / Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Long time since I've been here, but still snapping away! Some bluebell and other family portraits, mostly (entirely actually) with the 85mm f/1.8. Off to Morocco on Thursday so looking forward to that

Makes it tilt-shift-esque - i like it. Impressive bio-luminescence! Assume that's not SOOC?

An insane price - firmly putting it in the pro's only market, or at least the very well-heeled amateurs... I wonder if they'll do a 400mm f/5.6 to cater for lesser mortals? Pro's-only is a limited market for selling lenses.

Beginner A few from today's adventures

BUT, the big caveat here is no amount of GIMP will rescue these shots... Dull light, flat skies, and a little lack-lustre composition means these shots weren't ever going to be great. This isn't a real criticism of your technique, no one would shoot much interesting in such rubbish conditions...

I've actually taken pictures recently which has been nice... Now if only I had the time to process them. LR CC is useful for this, as I can process/edit on my phone or at lunch (via the web). Sidenote; got a Peak Design 10l sling from the better half for my birthday. Phenomenal bag, swallows...

My Sony A7 iii sensor after 1.8k shots (90%) indoors

Yeah - fact of mirrorless life... Since moving to the A7R2 a rocket blower now just lives in the camera bag. Also I've improved by lens changing process so the sensor is always facing down when a lens is off which seems to have helped a little.

Oops - WPY 2017 winner faked

Yeah - and worse, that was the overall winner, this was just a category winner. I think the wolf shot was even taken within a zoo/park...? I liked his "I have the RAW for the shots either side of this one, but mysteriously not this actual shot" excuse.

    Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L

I missed one in the classifieds here for £80... WEX have a couple of returns but still £120-ish. It's just on a list of things I'd like to buy and it's not at the top (see also new drum kit, faster PC, home climbing wall...)

    Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L

It's been on my want list for ages... just can't really justify the price. Perfect for small-body cameras with a couple of lenses and a flash.

In fairness, you don't need 42mp, Eye-AF, in-body stabilising and un-compressed RAW files for these shots anyway...
