Sadly I've noticed a couple of sensor spots on images taken on my Canon EOS 550D. Whilst I can use the PS healing tool to successfully remove these spots or use the Canon dust data delete system, I'd ideally like to not have them in the first place!
I've tried a blower but still got the 2...
@Nawty - that's a great argument - like it ! Having looked through my old pictures, taken in what people have said here, and looked at lots of landscape pictures, I decided to get the 70-200 f4 is. I think it fits with my style better than UWA. Received the lens on Saturday - now just need to...
@Bluesmachine - like the pictures! The more I see around the net, the more I realise that I prefer the longer focal lengths.
As a matter of interest I went through some of my pictures taken when I had a longer standard zoom - a fair number of my favourite shots were taken at or near the 80mm...
John Mc - it's the f4 IS I am thinking about - don't need the f2.8 for landscapes but think I would find the IS handy as I more often than not shoot handheld.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I was thinking of adding the 10-22 at some stage, but as I would only be getting the 10-17 over what I have I wasn't sure it would be worthwhile? Is 10mm significantly wider than 17mm in real terms?
Although given the deserts and Grand Canyon being able to go...

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help and ideas. I'd like to display my photos on my own website and currently use a flash photo gallery which makes it easy to build and add to but of course flash is not supported in Safari browsers. So I'm now wondering about moving to a JavaScript based...
You can also show photos on the Sony Blu Ray players. I attach an external hard drive via USB to the Sony bdp-s470 and can view them on the tv. The external drive needs to be formatted as fat32 tho as the Sony can't read ntfs file structures - nor can it cope with folders nested more than 5...
It's very often the case that pictures languish on the PC hard disk. Yet printing loads of them is not practical and will only lead to lots of albums or photo books gathering dust. I've uploaded some to Facebook as well as my own website. I've copied some onto an external hard drive and viewed...
Thanks guys. Looks like soft grads and hitech filters with Cokin P holder are the way to go for me as a first time. Just need to get out somewhere now to take some pictures!
