They are my girlfriends feet she kindly agreed to model for me. With regards to the legs I wanted them to look almost oversmoothed as I the whole image is about the colour and the pattern on the knickers.

Yes I used a skin smoothing technique normally used in post production to give a model a 1940's style look as I think it draws the eye towards the colours.

I'd say give it a go I went along to one of my local clubs a few weeks ago and I'm amazed by how much they do. Talks by well known & respected photographers, they enter all sorts of competitions & they hold workshop nights as well. Plus the people are incredibly friendly.
