    Favourite Photography Handbook

Thanks, I'll pop into the library later to see if I can get a preview of it. Any others? I find most photography books seem to fall into three categories. 1: Those that a crammed with superb images that tend to intimidate me rather than inspire and little meaty 'how to' text and...

    Favourite Photography Handbook

Can anyone recommend a intermediate to advanced Photography Handbook that has been published in the last five years and is suitable for a Fujifilm Finepix "Bridging Camera " S100FS user who want to improve his picture taking technique?

Digitising Old Negatives - Advice wanted!

I've got the use of a device for digitising 35mm slides and negatives, but I have some even older larger negatives in a variety of sizes. Any advice from someone who have experience of turning such negatives into digial files would be appreciated.

    Aldi - Camera Nesting Box!

This looks like fun for the family if you can get the little bu$$er (birdies) to use it. http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_8792.htm?WT.mc_id=2009-02-06-15-49

    Pembrokeshire

I would suggest you look more toward central Pembrokeshire, to the north east of Haverfordwest. Then you are equidistant from South Pembs and the Tenby area, The Haven, Dale and the beautiful River Cleddau. You have the county town of Haverfordwest and Narberth, Oakwood and Bluestone...

    Weekend in paris ***HELP NEEDED***

A wander round the markets will give you plenty of colour and Parisian flavour. Also I would bother to go right to the top of the ET to get you panoramas of the Paris skyline. It is pretty impressive even for the first level...... and Notre-Dame looks impressive from one of the river boats.

Advice on buying a Circular Polariser?

Thanks for all of the advise and the discussion my query stimulated. Just to let you know I've picked up a second hand 67mm Hoya PRO1 Digital Circular Filter via Ebay. It came today and is in excellent condition and was a reasonable price so I'm very pleased with it.

Jupiter & 4 of her moons (without a telescope!)

The Fuji S100FS has a 400mm (x 14.3) zoom and the B300 converts that to approx 680mm (x 24 zoom). Obviously it does not take replacement lenses but it will take a range of filters using the front-end filter thread. The added lens is fitting to the S100FS with a stepping down ring. You do get...

    Partial Eclipse of the Sun

It wasn't the more expensive solar continuum filter, just the basic Baader AstroSolar filter. I bought an A4 sheet to make a filter for my Celestron NexStar 114 Telescope and had a bit left over. http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/Products/BAADER_Astro_Solar_Filter_A4.html I found an...

    Review Fujifilm S100FS - I think I'll get one

To my mind it give a keen amateur so much fun as well as a huge potential to do thing things most expensive SLR cameras will do only slightly better but with a large camera bag in tow filled with expensive and heavy added lens. Over the years, I've worked my way through Fuji's S602, the S7000...
