Thanks bud :) Yeah, I shot it in the afternoon in the lobby, just used my LEE ND filters to kill all the ambient light and then fired a nice big blast of flash to light her up :) That's really great information thanks for that, I am going to re-calibrate mine again tonight as I am still not...

Cheers mate, and you are absolutely correct in your assessment there, I simply had no time to prepare for anything so I haven't come away with much personal stuff that I am totally happy with as I generally need to immerse myself in a culture for days (or weeks) to get the shots I normally am...

interesting debate... I personally think that there are many photographers that shoot unique images (and I guess I include myself in this) mainly because we shoot in places where most people don't have access too, but I guess the work in some ways could be called derivative as we have all been...

I did a recent piece in Africa of a 7 year old girl who walks 14km to school. In order for me to do the piece, I did the walk with her. It was used to support Malala Day (Malala Yousafzai who was shot by the taliban when walking to school) and was featured on the BBC websites in many countries...

Congratulations :) Doesnt really matter how many were used, getting onto the BBC is a great achievement!

Good ideas thanks everyone. I like the idea of just doing something fun that I can give a bunch of simple tips to improve... and I think your are right, composition is easy to grasp and very simple to give practicle examples too. :)
