    Vietnamese Concierge

Thanks bud :) Yeah, I shot it in the afternoon in the lobby, just used my LEE ND filters to kill all the ambient light and then fired a nice big blast of flash to light her up :) That's really great information thanks for that, I am going to re-calibrate mine again tonight as I am still not...

    Medicine Man in Vietnam

Cheers mate, and you are absolutely correct in your assessment there, I simply had no time to prepare for anything so I haven't come away with much personal stuff that I am totally happy with as I generally need to immerse myself in a culture for days (or weeks) to get the shots I normally am...

    Vietnamese Concierge

At our hotel, they had the most lovely girls working as concierges in traditional dress, so I asked one of them if she wouldn't mind posing for me for a photograph. So here is me in the hotel lobby (making all the other guests wonder what on earth was going on) taking pictures! Here is me mid...

    What is it, about ...

interesting debate... I personally think that there are many photographers that shoot unique images (and I guess I include myself in this) mainly because we shoot in places where most people don't have access too, but I guess the work in some ways could be called derivative as we have all been...

    Has your photography changed?

I actually found some photos the other day that I shot about 20 years ago when I was just starting out with 35mm. I honestly have no idea why I shot most of them, they are terrible, but I can definitely see in them that I was struggling to be "arty", I shall definitely be keeping them for...

What unusual photo jobs have you done ?

I did a recent piece in Africa of a 7 year old girl who walks 14km to school. In order for me to do the piece, I did the walk with her. It was used to support Malala Day (Malala Yousafzai who was shot by the taliban when walking to school) and was featured on the BBC websites in many countries...
