I have been corrected (and this is confirmed from the event program) that the ME109 is actually a spanish variant named a Buchon.
That partiular Hurricane flew 49 sorties from Croydon and shot down five enemy aircraft During the Battle of Britain.
British Hurricane dogfights with German ME109 during an aerial display at the Victory Show 2011.
I have never been able to capture an acceptable dog fighting shot so i was very pleased with this one so i thought i would share - even if its not quite perfect.
This particular Hurricane...
I used Adrian's kit to clean my sensors no problem. I was actually surprised by how easy it was.
I keep meaning to buy the required materials for my own use, but i keep forgetting.
Only if you let us know what you would hire (take out of your own stocks) lol!
Do you find that the lenses people hire out the most change depending on the time of year, or does it not have any trends like that?
Been having a bit of a day dream today since its raining, miserable & cold outside.
I have been planning my 'tog trips for this year and looking at my equipment. Im thinking of renting lenses to make the most of the trips. Also realised its an excellent opportunity to use some of the more niche...
I spoke to the guys at Comley this morning - very nice chaps indeed! :)
Gave me some very nice compliments on my winning picture, but i was at work at the time so couldnt reply about it too enthusiatically, so im sorry if i sounded a bit wooden on the phone!
Many thanks again,
Rob
Wow, thanks for the kind words guys.
I have never won anything like this before, i'm chuffed to bits! :)
I will try and get in touch with the guys at Comley Cameras tomorrow. Is there anyone in particular i should ask for?
Thanks to the organisers for putting on the competition:thumbs:
I do realise this.
I was just posting it for those who my not have seen it, as i thought it a fitting counterpoint to our discussion. (and quite a coincidence that it would be on the same week!)
A lovely sentiment, but i can only see it getting busier as time goes by and the site gets more publicity. After reading through all this, you are clearly going to be considerate towards the seals, so I wouldn't deny yourself the opportunity whilst it is still there.
