card speed issue when recording video

Evening all, I have an issue with a card and I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem, the camera is a 600D. I've got a MicroSD card (SandDisk Ultra, 64GB class 10) which I bought direct from Amazon (not the marketplace) so I'm 99.99% certain it isn't a fake, MagicLantern is...

    Canon 24-70 f4, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8 or what?

Thanks for the feedback folks, decided to opt for the 17-55 in the end, now I'm just waiting on delivery.

    Canon 24-70 f4, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8 or what?

Not really L-itus, the only thing the 17-55 has in its favour is the extra stop of light. Why do you say the 17-40 is so bad on a crop body? It's the same at the wide end as the 17-55 and is longer than the prime I use 99% of the time.

    Canon 24-70 f4, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8 or what?

I had looked at the 17-40 as an option but have been put off by the mixed reviews, particularly on here. Having said that I think some of the negatives would only be noticeable on a FF camera, so i wouldn't be affected by them for some time yet (if ever). Thing is it would probably be too wide...

    Canon 24-70 f4, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8 or what?

That's kind of the point. Not so much that Canon don't make L lenses for crop bodies but that the price is nearly the same as the 24-70 F4L despite the lower build quality, lower IS spec and the restricted upgrade path. Only really when I'm taking photos indoors. It's not that often but it's a...

Windows tablet, Lightroom 5 and working remotely.

Apologies for the delayed response I got sidetracked by another project. Lightroom will run from an SD card if you mount it as a virtual drive. At the minute I keep my main catalogues in a Onedrive folder and when the SD card is mounted Onedrive syncs the catalogue between my PC and my tablet...

    Canon 24-70 f4, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8 or what?

afternoon folks, I've currently got a 600D with 30 and 50mm primes. I have utter disdain for the 50mm, the image quality is awful compared to the other lens so I never use it, the problem is that occasionally 30mm just isn't wide enough and with the current cash back offers and interest free...

Windows tablet, Lightroom 5 and working remotely.

Evening all, I originally posted this in the post processing forum but after 86views and no comments I thought I might have more luck in this forum. So here's what I want to do. I want to take photos, stick the SD card in the tablet, import the photos into Lightroom(5) by adding them in their...

Windows Tablet, Lightroom 5, and working remotely.

Evening all, So here's what I want to do. I want to take photos, stick the SD card in the tablet, import the photos into Lightroom(5) by adding them in their current location to a catalogue stored on the SD card, so that I can review and delete the rubbish before getting to a pc where the...

    Magic Lantern Problem

I've installed Magic Lantern on my Canon 600D on a 32Gb SD card and I've had absolutely no problems with it over the last couple of years, in fact it still works without problem today. However, I'm trying to move away from an SD card to a microSD card so that I can plug the card straight into...

    DSLR Video - Flickering?

Are you rendering the videos before playing them back in premiere? That can affect quality. Look inn the timeline to see off a red bar is smiling across the top, off out is press enter to render the video.

    Darkroom Prints...

The reasons for a decent easel have pretty much been covered. Trust me, buy cheap buy twice. I can't stress how infuriating it is when you can't get square edges or straight edges. They don't have to cost thousands though. I got a massive RRB easel from Ebay for less than £100 and it is a...
