Fantastic lens for its cost and can be very sharp. Its very sharp focusing. Love my non VC to bits.

Lenses for hire have a big selection.

To be honest if your looking at £80 -£100 lenses, full frame compatibility shouldn't be a worry. Many full frame lenses sell for 5x that.

I normally put it like this: Av = f/stop priority = non moving subjects Tv = shutter priority = sports

If you spent that much on a camera surely you want to put batteries in which the manufacture supports. I would look on digital rev for official batteries.

Id take body + 24-70mm. Maybe some extra batteries and other little things. When I went to Rome I took my 7D + 50mm 1.4 + 17-50 F.28 Tamron. Rest of the bag consisted of Ipad and other little things.

My pet hate is when other photographers follow me around taking the same shot and then asking me how and why I have all this equipment when they have a bridge camera.

Can't see the issue its not showing any nudity and is covering all the right parts. I'd go for it.

I was going to say what ever floats your boat.... My view is if you want to take photos of people you can't be shy yourself.

Why are you looking at the vc, is there requirement for it? My non vc lens has never felt like its lacking in performance. It focuses quickly (ok its abig noisy), pin sharp and doesn't weigh much.
