    Beginner Opinions on post editing

Thank you so much for the replies, i'm reading and re-reading, soaking up the tips. Means a lot to me to get honest opinions. @DB72 Linn Marlen's flickr account is amazing-just the type of photography I enjoy looking at. I can only hope to one day be as good as her!

Ah yes, I think I copied the moon photo from my fb page as I lost the original image. I took it through a kids telescope without a tripod, it was a little tricky. Would love a longer lens. Thank you, I really appreciate the reply.

Ok, I'll try the BB code. Thank you. Apologies if it doesn't work. One that's my favourite but was an 'easy' photo to take as I didn't need to set it up or follow it around so I'm not dead proud of it ;)- DSC_0858 by Vanessa Jackson, on Flickr One that I want to love but something feels a bit...

    Beginner Opinions on post editing

Hi all, Hope this is the right place to post! I've had my camera almost 3 years and I'd like a little critique on the photos in my flickr album. They're all photos I personally like (and I only take them for myself) but I'm curious about other peoples opinions. Which do you like best? Which do...

    Beginner ND filters

Super, thanks guys, this is exactly what I needed to know. l had a look and it is a 52mm and I doubt I'll use it on another lens so I'll get a screw in one. I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Ps. Oops about the wide aperture mistake! I did know that, honest.

I know this has recently been covered but....I'm confused. I need someone to explain in really stupid person terms what I need. I want to take landscape pictures with a wide aperture and a long exposure in the hope of getting a nice soft water shot. Whenever I try it's too bright. So I need an...

Beginner New lens or more practice?

Thank you for the suggestions and thank you for your encouraging words Alistair, I appreciate them after feeling miserable that my opportunity for good family photos was a disaster! Others got better shots on their camera phones which is always disheartening. Stinkypu I'm shooting in manual...

Beginner New lens or more practice?

I've managed to log into an old flickr account and added 3 of the bad quality birthday shots. https://www.flickr.com/photos/113090204@N05/albums/72157671437758883

Beginner New lens or more practice?

I'd add some shots...but I can't figure out how to log into my flickr account. :/ I didn't use flash at all, I have a bit of a flash phobia (I probably don't know enough about how to use it properly) but I also wouldn't want to use it in situations like a kids party, I would imagine it would be...

Beginner New lens or more practice?

Hi all. I have had my Nikon d3200 for 2 years. I practised on my kit lens until I figured the basics and after a year bought a 50mm 1.8g lens. I struggled at first to get sharp images away from auto but after almost a year of playing I think I've mostly got the hang of it. I'm confident in...

Thanks guys. I use lightroom. I love DSC_0076 too, it's my favourite actual shot but I just think her skin colour looks like it's in shadow, but it's not. Kind of grey. Does that make sense?

Thank you. :) I have lightroom but I figure I don't know what I'm doing too well as these are the edited photo and I just can't get the colours to look right, She still looks kind of grey. :/
