Really like the first one but could do with vertical straighten on the turbine, it's a very atmospheric shot. Well done! Second one well capture but I didn't see the lightning for a bit, perhaps a crop to the right of the tree to create a vertical image?
Number 5 and 7 are the winners for me, well done on producing some excellent shots. Think I'd have liked to have seen a few more of those misty pebbles in the foreground though, perhaps a lower angle?
Thats funny, I could have sworn I put a question mark after the HDR comment. I wasn't sure. Anyway whatever they are, they are very nice images. And wonderful processing if any.
Ahh yes, I did think the whites were done too much, and see exactly what you mean; and the sharpen (un-sharp mask)....well I was trying to achieve that but I will reduce this in future. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Hi thanks, I'll post the original when I get home. I did adjust contrast and levels, and also cloned some grey out in the background (due to limited space). Also tweaked the eyes. The lighting was softbox above, reflector below, shoot through umbrella to camera right pointing at background with...
So I thought I'd try first go at high key, spent hours on the net reading conflicting tutorials so in the end thought I'd make it up as I went along.
This is my first attempt, and whilst I am not after critique on pose (which is crap I know) or anything like that, I would appreciate some...
For my two pence worth, there is no such thing as a wow image, everybody's taste is their own. The long and short of it is there is visible improvement in your shots, and it is clear you have taken on advice given, and you are introducing it into YOUR photography. Keep trying just like we all...

If anyone could offer any pointers on using this equipment, I'd much appreciate it. All new to me, only ever having done landscapes and wildlife. Would love to start with low key...
So with advice for a kit I was thinking either the Interfit 150ex or the Kenro compact studio kit. Could anyone offer advice on either of these?
many thanks
Pete
That's just the info I need, many thanks. I'm not going mainstream or even making any money out of this, I am purely doing it as it's a part of my photography that's missing. I just want to experiment with lighting and portrait! Many thanks (I'll save the expense of a Highlite)
Pete
