1st taken with normal settings 2nd taken with white balance pushed to Cloudy, contrast boost and sharpening boost I prefer the 2nd but it is too 'yellowish'!

I'd also vote for cross processing, though as Musicman says, cheap film and processing can create that sort of effect. One of my friends uses a particularly 'bad' type of disposable that creates pictures like this...

I've just decieded to upgrade my d3000 to a d80 to make use of AF lenses! However, I still am lacking a zoom lens. Does this open up any new options, or are the AF-S lenses significantly improved?

Are the Sigma/Tamron etc 70-300 versions considerably worse than the Nikon? Particularly in terms of image stabilization?
