Post any of your favourite Pics, that was not done on a Professional camera!

3 shots on Galaxy S3, stitched together with Microsoft ICE. Really wishing I'd taken a couple more to fill in the second bow above..

    Cotswold Airshow - Reds

Yes, having lost two pilots they're displaying with only seven this year instead of nine. Back to nine in 2013.

Tutorial Bandstand: anatomy of a composition.

Thank you very much for taking the trouble to put this together. Very instructive.

    Young Robin.

Aww, gotta love a baby robin!!!! The 3rd one is enlarged a bit beyond the limits of the available sharpness - a smaller version would look better, but the first two are lovely.

I like it too. I'd go even a little more minimalist than Dod... and trim off the left highlights as well as the bottom ones. That would leave just red and green, and would be a very abstract treatment indeed. Great idea. I would never have thought of this.

    Sunset over Ullswater

Very much like the image, but not *Lake* Ullswater, please :D

Tanya and John - Pre wedding location shoot

I like them - informal, fun, very much capturing a sense of togetherness. Just two details struck me - maybe remove the stray hair in #4 - I thought it was a scar till I looked more closely. Also, in #3, there's a bright halo in the space between their chins. Since the kiss is such a focal...

Thanks :) It's horribly unsharp, in reality (a high pass filter and a large reduction in image size can cover quite a few sins). And the canopy reflections were a right PITA that day.

Very unlikely to have been me. Now I do like that :) Here's another one of the church I took a few weeks earlier... It's a bit rubbish, really - it wouldn't enlarge much more than that without looking awful - I need to have another go sometime.

Mmm... not sure. My memory is that the church looked more orange than this, and the sky in the distance wasn't blue sky - it was cloudy and the light reflecting off the clouds was quite yellow, presumably from a town underneath (Daventry's that way, isn't it?). Agree about the stone colour...

WB now 2350. What do you think? It's certainly different, not sure what to make of it yet, I'm so used to looking at the orange version.

Ah yes, I took a couple from that angle the following morning, but the light was rubbish. Flat grey cloud, horrible. Even so, I didn't include as much of the trees on the right as you did, maybe I should have. Yes, I have the RAW - how should I correct the WB? That orange is pretty much as...

Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Mostly trying to decide if the overall effect is good enough to make it worth cloning out the chain fence in the foreground. Or if cloning it out is even desirable.

    Poor little beaky...

I've had another go at editing the image... do you folk think this is better? A slightly different crop, not so reduced in size, and not quite so aggressive with the sharpening.
