    Peak District

:D I'll revisit in a few weeks and see if I can clear that flare problem up.

    Peak District

Good job Paul. I don't mind at all, and I think that actually does look better. I'll have a look at doing it myself another time (I'm on a strict no-Photoshop diet for a few weeks, too much abuse  Lightroom sliders only). I'll spare you being sent the file, 40MB files tend to clog up...

    Peak District

Thanks for the feedback. The flare in the 2nd image bugs me for being uneven. If it were more even I'd be happy with it, but I think you're right and the lower one at least probably should go. The third one, assuming you're talking of the grass is already slightly desaturated (the sky is...

    Peak District

    Nikon D800 v D800E

Sensor's nothing to do with it... autofocus happens way before sensor even knows it's going to be taking a photo. It's just a compromise they knowingly made when designing their autofocus system.

Thanks for the feedback. Think I agree with most of what you're saying, and might revisit sometime, at a different time of day and try in the opposite direction.

    Tracing a webhost

Quite common on cheap shared hosting, having a ton of websites per machine. you can even have multiple machines hiding behind a single IP. This is pretty much business as usual, and normally only big sites have a dedicated IP address.

Would you lend your gear to a friend

Something cheap (50mm, 70-300mm) to someone trustworthy, sure. Any of my expensive stuff, not to anyone, not a single snowflake's chance in hell (well maybe with a 100% RRP deposit :D )
