Hmm interesting - are you thinking that the light exposed from the good photo wasn't actually visable to the eye? Because I couldn't get the light through the glass to show that sort of effect from any angle
Perhaps he's used two exposures together - one for the glass and one for the...
As always critiques are encouraged. I wanted to get some colour from the wine onto the table but didn't seem to be able to pull it off.. More powerful light perhaps?
Hope you're all well

Painting 1 by 1 didn't take long at all to be honest.. I was quite happy with the result of that bit.
I was just trying to get the foreground in focus as well as the bottle.. But that did cause the back wall to be in focus too [emoji21]

I didn't have a perfume sprayer so i used a paintbrush to add the droplets on 1 by 1.. i think it turned out ok. I couldn't understand why at F14 I wasn't getting the foreground lemon into sharp focus :/ perhaps its a lens issue,, im not sure.
i used a cheap tripod...

also had a little play with glycerine and water to make the droplets too
settings: F14 ISO200 and a SS of 1/3rd...
cropped
vibrance
saturation
butterfly
lowlights added

Clones out the owls little accident,
separated the background and upped the red curve to give a purply look to separate the owl better,
yellowed up the beak and eyes and browned up the feathers slightly,
added a vinette
oh and cropped to take into account rule of...
a bit late but here's my attempt, natural look hopefully!
edit: colour adjustment, cropped, blemishes removed and skin retouched (hopefully not noticable) stain removed from table and tv reflection darkened, eyes and teeth whitened
I am looking to get better at photoshop and lightroom retouching,
if anybody would like a photo of theirs edited post it below and ill post the edited version when its done
