It's definitely smaller and lighter than the 18-55, and does produce a sharper image for sure. It's the 1.4 that really sets this lens apart. It does get a bit soft towards the edges, but the focal point is razor sharp and I'm so happy I went with the 1.4 over the 35 f/2. I haven't had any...

So, back from Australia where the X-T1 performed fantastically! Took the 18-55 (such a great do-it-all lens), Samyang 12mm (didn't really use it that much), and purchased a brand new 35mm 1.4 whilst over there (£290). So happy I went from the 6D to the X-T1, really puts the fun back into...

I've just received my official Fuji RR-90 remote. Simple and NOT worth the £50+ I see them for. Got it for £25 on Amazon.

    Fuji XF 35 f/1.4 or 35 f/2 WR?...

Morning all! Just putting this out there since I'm off to Australia on Wednesday morning and want to go pick up one of the above lenses. I can get the 1.4 for £270 and the f2 for £310. Is the newer technology (faster autofocus, smaller package and silent motor) worth the extra £40 over one of...

    The old Samyang

I'm still falling in love with my 12mm f/2 I got a few days back. How on EARTH can they make such a good lens for under £210?!

    go pro hero 4 black.

    I've always used 1080p / 30fps on mine. Don't seen the need for 4K or 60fps.

Not that it helps, but I've just received my Samyang 12mm and shall be using it over is Australia next week. Dependant on how I get on with it dictates if I buy the 10-24 upon my return. I must say that I'm bloody impressed with its build quality!

    Buying my first DSLR

I went from Canon 550d to 6d to Fuji X-T1, the latter being the best camera I've ever owned. I'm all one for wanting to go out and enjoy taking pictures. The 6d and lenses was just too much of a beast to haul around everywhere. The X-T1 with 18-55 kit lens is out this world. It's build...

Ex MTB'er turned Roadie. Current bike is a 2015 Scott Addict Team. Do a couple of rides a week, either a few laps round Richmond Park or I'll venture out if the weathers not bad.

Best to Edit - Apple Mac or Windows PC?

I'm running a Dell M4800 and have a MacAir & MacPro at home. Although this machine (Dell) is much more powerful than the Macs, they are still my go-to machines due to their OS and lighter weight. This thing weighs about 639kg and that' why I leave it docked up with a 24" screen (also Dell).
