Possibly the silliest question of the year...

You seem to brandish (and you're not alone at all in this...) 645 as a lesser format due to a 6x6 negative being 1.4x (nearer 1.2 btw, a 6x6 negative is 56mmx56mm) times the size yet band 6x6 and 6x7 in the same category despite the relative size difference between a 6x6 and 6x7 negative being...

    Film Dev and storage question

Is Rodinal up your street? Cause Firstcall have started selling it in one-way valve squeezy bag things and at very decent prices, even when you add the crazy high postage. They sell fixer in the same form and they should theoretically last loads longer then bottled dev. Awesome idea if you ask...

    My First Ever Film!

Even cheap C-41 films such as C200/Colorplus have significantly more lenient characteristics than any E6 film like Velvia. Yeah, there are much nicer films but only new C-41 emulsions are really any more forgiving, IMO.

Cheers! Nah, they're all shot with a Canon AV-1. Underexposed, overdeveloped and the blacks pulled back in pp. I'm often too lazy to straighten shots but I agree, they could use a tad :) Thanks a lot :) Great shots Paleblue, I always love your stuff from the East (and it often leads to me...

    Where for cheap Tri-X

I just spotted this and thought you might be interested... Wouldn't be surprised if they offered a slight discount for bulk buying either... http://www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/products/1028/profilm-tri-x-pro-135-36-iso-400

    Italy

Can't believe that these haven't had more comments! Can only echo the last post and add that this is probably the best all round set i've seen in the Film parts of the forum! The field with Vesuvius in the background is probably my fave :) Sam.

    Large Format Paper Negs

Shooting directly onto paper will still have a negative final result unless you use direct positive paper...

This is probably my favourite negative I've ever produced... The actual image is pretty crap but the range of tones on the neg is immense. love MF film. (FP4+)

    Scanners again !

If you wanna scan larger, the Epson 4490 also does 5x4 negs/slides in one pass.

Discussion thread about discussion threads about stickies

I think its a brill idea. I wish i had seen a simple 'how to' when I first started that showed how easy it really is... If one asked on here, one would often get a link to the ilford guide which I, personally, never found of any use...
