    Decent ND10 filter for ~£40?

Been looking at getting one of these but they either seem cheap and rubbish or great but £80 or so. (B+W ND10) Is there a middleground out there? Can you get a decent one for about £40 or is it a case of sucking it up and just buying a B+W? Thanks,

Applecross road (The Bealach na Ba) Scotland

Hello all! Road on Google Maps for anyone interested. Quick panorama I did while stopped at the side of the road. Haven't done much editing to this (as is from my Canon SX230) but I really like the composition. Not sure if the metal barrier in the middle of the shot adds to the photo or...

sx 230 battery charger - red light not orange?

Hi, Just bought a Canon Powershot Sx 230 and I am charging the battery for the first time as we speak. The manual says when charging the battery, the light on the charger will be orange and move to green when fully charged. However mine is a solid red when I plug it in. Should I be...

    Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f1.8G

Hi, Thanks for replying. I know it won't raise much money but I've seen them go for £60-70 on ebay and every little helps I guess. Do you think I should keep it as a 'just in case' ? I can afford the 35mm without selling the kit lens. How is the sharpness on the 35mm at similar apertures to...

    Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f1.8G

Thinking about buying this lens to go on my Nikon D40 and selling the 18-55mm kit lens to partly pay for it. Does this seem like a good idea? Is the 35mm focal length wide enough to be a good walkabout lens on a DX camera? My main interest is in low light handheld city stuff at night and...

Nikon D40 too small in the hands - any ideas?

Thanks for all your replies guys. I bought that £30 grip on amazon, it's not too much money wasted if it;s no good and I probably could flog it on ebay for like £20 anway in the event of that.

Nikon D40 too small in the hands - any ideas?

There's a d90 selling on ebay right now with the bundled 18-105 lens with it selling for £525 with 45m to go. How much would this drop by roughly do you think following the announcement of a new camera?

Nikon D40 too small in the hands - any ideas?

yardbent, is that textured plastic on the grip in the same style as the D40 itself or just smooth plastic? I saw a youtube video of as grip where the guy said it was advertised as textured plastic when it wasn'[t and he found that very disappointing. Found this on amazon, very cheap and has...

Nikon D40 too small in the hands - any ideas?

You know, it never occured to me to try a grip! Doh! :cuckoo: Any ideas on which ones in particular are good? This looks interesting plus 2 free batteries, not sure how good they would be though...

Nikon D40 too small in the hands - any ideas?

Hi, I hasve sort of fallen out of taking photos for the past few months and part of the reason I think is because my Nikon D40 is just too small in my hands and I don't feel entirely comfortable with it. I have quite big hands and was in the market for a reasonably priced DSLR to replace it...

Clootie Well (Celtic healing pilgrimage site)

Went to this place today and thought I would share a few photos. Basically, in ye olde times people would come to these places and leave a cloth or rag which would represent someone's sickness (old Scots word for cloth is cloot - hence Clootie) in the hopes that when the rag rotted their...
