Hi
I mostly do landscape photography, but always had a thing for sports photography. I managed to access few high level sport events in Glasgow (when we still could) as a freelance photographer, where I learned a lot and enjoyed it very much. I recently had a chat with my son's football coach...
Keeping on the Kayaking theme, while in the Nottingham I got to watch some white water kayaker's practising there skills.
Some great talent out on the water, balancing and surfing the waves.
Comments and feedback welcome...
I had the pleasure of watching some of the best kayak marathon racers in the UK last weekend.
The weather was terrible 40+mph gusts, but the athletes took it in there stride and went on the water to win. The skill, power, speed and balance was amazing. Below are a few snaps from last weekend...
My next purchase is going to be a 300mm 2.8, but I'm not sure what to choose. I shoot with a Canon 7D MkII and have a 70-200 2.8 and mostly shoot football mostly Womens and Non-League and looking for a lens to maybe to use in years to come shooting higher level football.

Hi
I am currently using sony nex 6 for landscapes and outdoor photography such as news and reportage. Recently I started doing indoor sports (track cycling and similar) and i lack good fast focus, high iso performance, and megapixels for cropping. Therefore i thought i would upgrade to sony...
A few shots from the 2CV event at Oulton Park over the weekend. I have to say, these things take forever to circulate the track - you literally seem to have minutes between each pass...

Just intrigued and wondered if anyone has time to share their views?
Probably for those at league grounds but if attending do you have set positions you're told to photograph at in the pit or do you get there early to claim your area and gear space? ... Or is it a case your agency (i assume)...
Hi,
I am trying my hand at sports photography this weekend at a few different local events (Running, rowing, cycling & bike polo). My biggest lens currently is a 70-200mm and I imagine most of the bike polo & rowing will be at a distance, so I may need to be a little more imaginative in the...
This was taken in the evening in some really dark woods in Wales after sunset, barely any light about, shot at ISO 8000 on my 5D3, probably about 1/800th can't remember. I love it but plenty of people have told me it's way to underexposed. At the end of the day, that's exactly the shot I had in...
Hey guys, I'm graduating from uni in a few weeks and I'm going into full time photography/film production with a friend. We've got our website up and running and a showreel to show off the sort of footage we capture. Feedback would be appreciated! Enjoy.

I have just purchased an Olympus OMD EM 1 and now getting some "normal range" lenses.
I have done a lot of sports photography in the past with my Canon gear but have not seen much in the way of comment or experiential reports of people who have used micro four thirds for sports action. I'm...
