Allan.H 52 2023

Really like that Alan and the processing. just that hint of blue in the sky really works for me.

What a lovely picture! Great leading lines and the positioning of the sun really highlights the detail.

Super shot, I love the way it seems to fade to mono at the bottom. A great study of light and shadow.

Hello Allan, it's been a while. Hope the past years have been kind to you!

Great shot, central, all verticals and horizontals correct. Lovely light, well handled; with muted blue in the sky and yellow on the bridge.

Hi Graham I'm good thanks and thank you for the nice comment.

Good start. I like the light on the handrail that leads they eye on a bit of a roller coaster.

Good image that could have been a little better by a lightening of the writing on the bridge as it is tantalisingly unreadable until blown up.

Good composition and really well-controlled exposure against the light , Allan. I particularly like the touch of blue in the sky and the texture and shadows on the bridge walkway. Good luck with your 52 (not that you'll need it!)

Thank you both

I see that you are dipping your toes into the 52 again.
Best of luck (y)
I took hardly any pictures last year Was concentrating on other things at least this gives me something else to think about for a while

I did lighten the lettering as much as was possible but this was as much as I wanted and it starts to add strange artefacts if you go too far. Thanks for the advice though.

Two lovely bits of workmanship there, a great bit of woodworking and a superbly presented image.

Thanks Roger, not sure about the great woodworking only started turning a few months ago just a bit of practice really

Nice one. I read "small pot still" and thought you were making moonshine :D

Area: Great light and shadows. I'm a fecker for a good bridge shot!!

Incomplete: Great take and brilliant photo.

Hi Allan, lovely shot, nicely lit and cracking detail when viewed full-res!

Sorry, does the 'lid' get popped off at some point?

And whats the blue on the rounded end?? Some sort of filler?

Beautiful Alan, I hope we get to see the finished project!
