Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

Have been through Archer and Rick & Morty several times, re-watched Sherlock, Peaky Blinders and The Thick Of It.
Older stuff including Dexter (first couple of seasons, after that the production noticeably falls away), Breaking Bad, Fargo - TV and Film
Newer stuff: Mindhunter, Punisher, Better Call Saul, Narcos, Jessica Jones

Gotham has it's moments, as do Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Lost interest with Daredevil. Bronson.

On the watch list: Manhunt, Stranger Things

Definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but imo Doug Stanhope's Beer Hall Putsch has a couple of the finest stand-up skits rendered to film

El Chapo is interesting if you like Narcos. Be warned though it doesn't have the same glamour in production.

More like a Mexican Soap Opera with a slightly higher budget. Oh, and subtitles all the way.....

We've just finished Godless, amazing series! Some brilliant acting in it also.

I also watched Jim and Andy documentary about Jim Carrey playing Andy Kaufman in Man on the Moon which was really good. If you want to see real method acting give this a watch!

New D.C.comics series just started on Netflix. Black Lightning. First episode was good.

Godless last episode was excellent. Worth the slow build up.

I also notice a new series Altered Carbon. I read the book years ago and it was great so here's hoping.

My son and I watched Dirk Gently with Elijah Wood. Very funny and quirky. Hope there is a season 3 and more to come.

They announced there would not be a 3rd season of Dirk Gently.
My 13 year old liked it. I watched it all through, but am disappointed it drifted too far away from its origins.

Dirty Money is a excellent docuseries I've only watched 3 so far each about the unsavoury dealings in HSBC , VW and a payday loan company in the US. Quite a eye opener.

Just finished the Netflix show, Shot In the Dark about stringers in L.A.

The show follows rival freelance stringers who scour the streets at night looking to film crime scenes, fires, accidents, and anything else they can sell to the media. It's a cutthroat profession that sees the videographers looking for newsworthy events, not knowing what kind of situations they'll find themselves in until they actually happen. As with most reality shows, personal drama and conflicts between the rivals tend to get in the way of their jobs at times.

The 8 episodes flew by!

Shot in the dark is full of appalling people and every one of the camera operators is a vulture but I can't stop watching it!

Just to add to previous votes for it - Manhunt :Unabomber is good. professionally made and a few decent actors in it. Sam Worthington, Paul bettany to name 2

Started watching Hitler's Circle of Evil on Netflix, 3 episodes in and it's very good.

Just started watching Altered Carbon on Netflix, has an interesting premise but whether that will be enough to sustain it remains to be seen.

Another series of Rita has appeared on Netflix. Hurray. Currently still watching all of Friends as I never saw all of them previously. Better written than I remember it being. Still working my way through the mildly daft Republic of Doyle.

Comedians in Cars getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld is worth watching just for the cars.

I wasn't keen on the body swapping nonsense, but then the Blade Runner scenery and the detective mystery is drawing me back in.

I've tried reading the books buf they got very samey very quickly, two dimensional characters didn't help.

Started watching Hitler's Circle of Evil on Netflix, 3 episodes in and it's very good.

Finished this, a very interesting watch. On a related note, I watched The Man with the Iron Heart, also rather good.

Half way through the first season of Damnation on Netflix and it's very very good so far.

It's set in about 1930s centering on a town in depression, with farmers being forced to sell their goods cheap by price fixing by the banks so they can auction off their properties for peanuts.

One brother is for the banks and the other is against and it gets a bit bloody here and there.

I'm hooked - well worth a look folks

Godless on Netflix is very good.

White Collar (Netflix) is good for a slightly light hearted New York FBI detective series. If you liked Elementary and Forever, this works on the same level.
The detective teams up with a top counterfeiter / con expert to solve the cases.

Oddly no English actor has a lead role.

This could be interesting. Loved the show when I was a kid but the film was dire! All episode available on Netflix April 13th.

Just finished “Godless”. I know it’s been mentioned before but it really is very good. Great acting. Beautiful cinematography and a stunning final episode. I think it may well be in the running for some Emmys.

Steel Rain - It's a Korean film with subtitles, a good watch.

The Last Kingdom on Netflix might be good, it's based on the series of books by Bernard Cornwell (Sharpe's Rifles) Saxon Chronicals.

If you have read the books, it's fantastic. The books are so immersive and incredibly well written, it was a joy to watch it come to life on the screen, especially as so many TV adaptations fall short of what you would expect.

Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix.
Stars Drew Barrymore. A zombie comedy.

Season 2 of 3% on Netflix April 27th. Enjoyed season 1, interested to see where season 2 takes the story.

I’m enjoying the documentary 'Wild Wild Country' recently arrived on Netflix.

I have a vague recollection of the early 1980's cult of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and the community of Rajneeshpuram in Oregon but really didn’t appreciate the scale of the enterprise - fascinating stuff.

Just watched Season 1 of Lost in Space on Netflix. Can't wait for season 2 now.
