Have done a search but cannot really find what i am looking for.

I am looking fora backpack to carry my D90,filters,batteries, maybean extra lens, sandwiches and drink, tripod...

I would like it to be either light brown camo or green, maybe digital!!

The only preference i have is that it i dont have to get a bank loan to get one, lol...

Can anyone help out?

Checkout the Tamrac Adventure range they do camouflage from £39.00

If you cant find on their site Google....camouflage camera rucksacks

Create your own from a generic army surplus bag if you can find nothing pre-made perhaps?

Or use a bergen/daysack cover?

Not heard of one no, but doesnt mean they dont exist. Maybe get one of the lowepro bags that opens up on the back, then put a cover on it and it wont get in the way if you need to open it?

I think he was after a dedicated camera bag in camo, you can get loads of military based camo ones but not exactly ideal for carrying camera gear.

The £275 one is a beast though!!

On the first site, linking to 'Full price list' and then 'Products' (couldn't post a direct link) showed a couple of 'forces'-style rucksacks that they mention for camera use, which might suit the OP's need for camera gear as well as the other bits he wants to carry.

Otherwise, as noted above, it looks as though it's a choice between the part-camo Tamracs, the £275 beast :) getting a camo cover for a camera bag or adding some extra padding inside a standard camo rucksack.

That would be my advice, be your cheapest option...........

For my recent Scottish trip, rather than take my functional yet too-good-to-drop-in-mud Crumpler Muffin Top Full Photo backpack (takes breath), I bought a 33 litre version of the Highlander 'forces backpack'; just google the Highlander brand.

They're waterproof, modelled on the MOD-issue 'day pack/patrol pack' rucksacks, and have external straps for tripod/monopod use. Inside, I just drop in the required padded lens case - the 33L version takes my Nikon D300S with Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 plus 1.4x TC all attached, sat inside a Lowepro lens case no.5. Down the side of that you had plenty of room for other stuff, plus the backpack has two external side pockets.

I have actualy been looking at those as thats the type of camo i want. I have an old camera bag that i could probably butcher.

Its such a shame that there is nothing dedicated as a proper bag would have been much more sturdy and a little more purpose built if you know what i mean.

However i may just buy a cheaper dedicated bag and some camo sheets and try and make something.

Personally I hate DPU. When I am out in the field I just where subdued olive green colours. Works just as well IMO. What you really need to conceal is your smell, so whatever you use don't wash it.

Highlander sacs come in subdued greens and there are plenty of camo sacs for wannabe squaddies but I don't know of any dpm camera bags off hand

Thanks for your insight.... I have been thinking that the olive greens may be a better option...
