Cloudforest's 52 for 2022, Week 37- Looking Up

Really like that Peter. It has a kind of oil painting feel to it.

I like the textures in that a lot. The bottom RHS draws my eye a little though with the large grey area. I'd have been tempted to crop from around 3/5ths down the frame, as that section is really nice.

Yes, I think that is very successful!
Thanks Paul.

Thanks Nick, I'll have a look at that crop.
I really like the ICM Peter.
Is it a new dawn?
Thanks Peter. A bit of a tenuous link. The wood is in the village of New Edlington.

Really like that, it has an ethereal look about it.

That works well, the ICM suits the subtle colours or the other way round.

Pete

Fascinating shot - lovely abstract dreamy feel to it.

Beautiful image Pete, very painterly. Can you tell me your settings?

That works really well.
Thanks Simon

Interesting abstract which works
Thanks Nick

Now that is the best one so far for me, a cracking shot indeed as it looks almost abstract.
Thanks Dave. Much appreciated as always.

Nice. it has a painterly feel to it.
Thanks Tim

Thanks Bill.

ISO 400, 0.4 sec at f10 with a 6 stop ND filter. Manual focus pre-set about 2/3 into frame. Lots of unsuccessful attempts!

Aye very arty farty that - works well :)

A very impressionistic image but still recognisable. I like it.

It confuses me. ( not difficult)

St Peter's Church, Old Edlington.

The nave dates back to Norman times whilst the tower is relatively new, being built in the 14th century.

Couldn't get very far back, so this is 3 vertical shots stitched together (which makes for a bit of distortion on part of the nave)

Didn't notice the distortion until you mentioned it.
Nice old church, fits the them.

I thought that the distortion was just the architecture of the church :D . Would the horizontal transform tool in Lightroom fix it?

I like the image distortion and all!

I like that, cant see any distortion. Lots of details on Flickr.
Thanks Pete
I do like a good Church image, and this is beautiful as very good lighting and well old.
Thanks Dave. This one has a beautiful interior but it was a little too dark today.

Thanks Bill. Much appreciated.
The horizontal tool took out most of the distortion but the roof line of the near part of the nave is still a little curvy.

Yep - nice owd church and well shot :)

That's a great old church...Ticks the theme box nicely.
