Evening all, I have been thinking how fantastic you have all been, and decided any monies left over from your generous donations, that are being used for my new equipment, no family days out wanted thank you, so I would like what is left to go where you want it to go to.

This all follows several pm's I have had from various people.

I want you who donated to decide where you would like the money left from my equipment to go so I have included a poll.

As you said, the stroke group have just received a £3,000,000 grant so about £200 is not really going to make any difference.

The children's hospice is a very worthy cause but nothing to do with the reason people have donated.

Personally I think it is a little early to be deciding on all this as we have not finished building everything yet. The reality is that we may well find we make to have something made or alternatively we need another part. The money left over might not be much hence the offer of a day out to practice with it.

If following certain comments you feel that you would rather not have the surplus then I really think that the best place for it to go would be another disabled member on here and I have one in mind who could well benefit from that amount of money turned into equipment.

I know mate I just wanted it to be open and give everyone a say in it, as I have had a few snide remarks in pms on here and on AP by people saying unpleasant things. If You think it will help another member who is disabled and in need then by all means help this other disabled person.
 
Firstly, those who have been cowardly enough to throw snide remarks at you should be reported to the mods. PM's are for communicating, not for throwing *****.

Secondly, I think passing the surplus to other disabled toggers in need is a GREAT idea.
 
Julian mate, I donated to you and to help you get your kit back and then help you get out and about. I respect your wishes of donating the surplus to a worthy cause, but I for one would personally like to see you keep the money for some quality time with the family, and the kit of course ;)

If there comes a time when another member needs some assistance, then people can make a judgement from there whether they wish to donate anything.

I am sorry that you have received any snide PM's or emails, but those people can live with their conscience and small mindedness.

I will tell you that I asked mods to temporarily close this thread until I had chance to speak to you tomorrow. We really don't know how much money there will be. If something needs fabricating then there might not be a lot left anyway and why should you give up the day out we all had planned for you because of some peoples snide and horrible comments.

I think this thread should be closed till AFTER the hand over of stuff and we know what is left. That will also give you time to recover and get over the numpty remarks.

Remember you can report a PM as well as a post !!

Julian please report any PM's that have caused you upset. It's simply not acceptable if people are making snide comments to you this way. We take abuse of the PM system VERY seriously.
