Sorry can't seem to edit the title... it should read "good composition?"
Hi guys,

I'm working on my B&W work and hoping to do a few in the near future. I went out on this particular day with B&W in mind as it was a very grey day. I found some rocks and thought the differing contrast and angles in which the rocks intersected would work quite well with B&W. Anyway i'm pleased with the results but any CC on this would be appreciated to help me going forward. I edited in lightroom and raised the contrast quite high to get a greater variation in the shades.

John. as you try to edit your post, you will see at the top
"Thread Tools" and there you can edit your title.

Now that I know what the title should be…

Lines in all directions and even
curves, yes, it works
as composition but the tone treatment is not the best
chosen option IMO… just me. There are other ways
to pull out textures and shapes. I would explore more
possible options.

The replication of triangles and textures works well here I feel. Although my eye does get pulled a little too much to the bland middle top triangle.(Light area of sand) Cropping top and bottom seems to help. But nice work!
