Personally I find it a lot less trouble to simply eat anything, though I probably should do something about that instead of running out of holes on my belt
A "lot less trouble to simply eat anything" may indeed offer an "easier life" but not neccessarily a "better life".......your own acknowlagement of lack of belt holes is possibly already informing you as such
I'm not attempting to dictate to anyone that veggie is the way forward nor that any part of my lifestyle is "better" or more "healthy" than anyone elses. ( to be fair I simply responded to Andys request if there were any veggies attending the meet....., .....it was comments from others to my response that has provoked this "off thread topic" )
I will admit however that after a quarter of a century of vegetarianism, and the same length of time receiving critiicism, ridicule and endless futile debates over protein etc etc, my patience is arriving somewhat thin regarding this topic.
Having, over the years, experienced and seen fights, heartache, injury, and death of close family / friends, all due to the effects from alcohol.....I personally find it very difficult to accept its presence and continual abuse by a percentage of the population, however i realise that it is a big part of socialising and as such I tolerate and accept that most people involve themselves with the substance.......I do this without expressing my views simply out of respect for their rights.
As a vegetarian, non smoker and non alcoholic drinker, I would appreciate a similar acceptance from joe blog public......I'm sure it really isn't too much to request...or is it?!
I could always live off Yvs
all weekend!:meh: :indifferent:
I think he means that his daughter was nominally a vegetarian until it came to actually eating meals when she reverts to carnivore mode.
Perhaps so Andy, however I'm sure Chris can answer for himself
If his response is unsuitable, I'll be on the next flight to Edinburgh, baseball bat in hand!
