But realistically, who is going to know about it?
Just don't really want to be that "example case" that everyone hears about!
I don't want to open the debate again, but just suppose I wanted to add some music to one particular gallery on my site, If I bought the music from itunes does that mean I can use it on my site?
No. And nothing beats this in terms of what's annoying on the internet.
Apple dropped DRM completely from iTunes over 6 months ago didn't they?

Aside from the copyright issues pointed out above, chances are that if you bought the song from iTunes then you'll only be able to play it using an authorised copy of iTunes, iPod or iPhone due to the copy protection they use.

As for ripping off musicians, well they've been doing it to the public for the last 40 years.
When a musician or any other artist only earns as much as the average working man/woman then I'll start to feel guilty.
I agree I don't like music on site per se', I only wanted it for someone who expressly asked for it.
But would I be upset if someone used one of my images on their amateur site, without paying for it, but credited it to me? No, I'd take it as a compliment, and a free bit of advertising.
As for ripping off musicians, well they've been doing it to the public for the last 40 years, so it's "quid pro quo", in my book. When a musician or any other artist only earns as much as the average working man/woman then I'll start to feel guilty.
Thanks, I've found some excellent music on that site.
I think you are highly confused with what a musician gets paid and what the label gets. Perhaps you are too narrow minded to know any other music apart from the ***** they play on your favourite radio station. In that case, you're a lost case.

Was that really called for?
Yes. It's only the elite 0.01% who earn mega-bucks
