Hi, ... (SONY A7ii - LEITZ Telyt-R 6,8/400 ; crops) :

The Telyt is still a good lens, I think, but not easy to use. I has a shallow DOF and focussing is by sliding the tube ...

On a modern camera with IS, live view and high ISO it is easier to use than in the film days.

I have deep respect for the photographers who used it professionally to make a living.

And I can understand all pros who switched to AF lenses as soon as they were available ...

Hi, playing around with old LEITZ glass ,,, (SONY A7ii - LEITZ Telyt-R 4/250 f 4 ; crops) :

The Telyt-R 250 is heavy. Weight was seen as an indication of quality by LEITZ, hoping that customers would see this so, too.

Minimal focussing distance is 3,5 m. A nice toy, but now R.I.C. (Rest in Cupboard ;) )

We’re off to the Scotlands Highlands next weekend for a few days.

Why is it the most impractical camera I have for landscape (M10-P) is the one I’m really looking forward to taking :ROFLMAO:

I frequently use my M9s for landscape, using CPL & ND Grads is a challenge you won't have with your M10-P as it has live view. Look forward to seeing the pics. (y)

That's stunning Dave
Thanks Adam, I must admit I surprise myself at times. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks mate, I really find your Dartmoor work really inspiring... Julian Baird is another Dartmoor favourite photographers - I think if I had my time over I'd live somewhere down there, always such beautiful scenery.
