Hi, ... Elmarit-M 2,8/90 f 4

Leica M9

Not an exact comparison (no ceteris paribus etc.). It was easier to take the pic with the SONY, having IS and live view.

The good news may be that the Elmarit-M performs well on a high-res cam, too.

I should try to show if there are SONY performance differences with/without IS.

Which could show how the Elmarit-M performs on the M11.

Still a good lens, I think. It is quite heavy, but in those days weight was seen (and felt) as another indicator of LEITZ quality.

There is an R -> M adapter. Are there any R lens users here in this thread ?

If they work well on a fujifilm 100s... I may be interested in getting some in the future... I have not looked into it yet

Hi, I had a brief look into this by searching with

Leica R lenses on fuji 100s

on Google.

R lenses are for 24x36mm , the fuji sensor is a little bigger. Hence, vignetting and corner smearing, when using the R lenses open.

If you do not have R lenses, it is a try and (perhaps) buy case ...

I am quite happy with the IQ of this combination. Focusing with the Elmarit is easier than with the Elmar-M, because the Elmarit has a body with a larger diameter, and thus a longer travelling distance of the focusing ring.
