Oh no... Another 365!

cheers for the warm re-welcome :D

278,
Messing about with fractals, dunno why, just thought I'd have a look.
I don't really see the appeal?

279,
Smoke trail.
I think Lisa? did this recently, but in my defence, I did it a couple of years ago too :)

365_279.jpg

not the best, but like JD said, I just want to get an image done at this point.

Fractals, so 80's ;)

Love the smoke trails, like the gritty grainy processing too, looks good in mono

Haha just google fractals, you should find some free software pretty quickly.
A mate of mine used to generate them on his Archimedes. He'd click in the morning and see how it was going when he got back from college, he might get to click again before bedtime
You can add your own parameters to the equation, but I got bored after a couple of minutes.

You're young enough to work it out yourself

Todays was a very simple setup. You just need a dark BG and an off camera flash. Just fire the flash at the smoke and don't let it spill onto the BG.
I focused on the tip of an incense stick then switched to manual focus and recomposed (cam on tripod). Then just play with ISO, aperture and flash output.
It's actually easier if you turn the lights off after setting up.

Just found the ones I did 2 years ago.

 fabs, you're 10 years younger than my dad, if it helps :)

Bumper update...

280,
Forgot about my 365! So it's sauces in the pub, sorry :exit:

365_280.jpg

281,
I had to do some ebay photo's for a mate.

365_281.jpg

282,
Had 5 mins to kill to make up the next hour at work, very poor effort though.

283,
Poo cat enjoying some Autumn sun, Saturday was a very nice day!

365_283.jpg

284,
Spent sunday with a migraine, so had no chance to do much with a photo. It ended up pretty random.

365_284.jpg

285,
So why not see how random it can get?

365_285.jpg

Random week continues with,
286.
Cat and mouse.

365_286.jpg

How long do i need to keep this up for?

Hmm, might just be able to arrange that...
Tricky to shoot though, same old problem I have all the time here, lack of space.

Initial attempt is pretty bad
He mainly sat there and looked as if to say "what the hell are you doing you idiot?".
I reckon I can make him go for it when he's receptive though :)

Oh, I like the thinking behind that one.. Or lack of?? ;) :D

You only think you have no room..

Cheers mate, deffo lack of thinking. Every room seems to be about a foot too small in each direction, I'll have to buy a bigger house.

Wow, that is a quick result, nice one ;)

Just getting a feel for it, I'll have to come up with a few alterations and see if I can improve it enough to make a proper picture of it.

Cheers Lisa.
Fred in the last one is the one we used to show, he is now "Premier Jemahan Frederico" officially.
Poocat, or Danleigh Cremebrule (aka the white one) may go to a few shows if we ever get the paperwork sorted. Vicki's really missing the show scene.

Nice composition there, as you've seen from my pic today, I was shooting images of all sorts around the house tonight, before I decided on the F4@F4 shot

Do they do well? I really miss showing my horse!

I keep looking at the coloured pencils in Jacks room  havent got to that stage yet!

Well, Fred won his first 3 shows, that's what made him Premier. He also got his 4th Premier Certificate at the Supreme show last year. Breeder wants him back, seriously.

Haven't tried Poo yet, but I think he'd do quite well as he's very laid back. Vicki wants a new kitten to show.

NO! :D

288,
had a long day today, a bit like when I used to have a job...
This is inspired by somebody I look up to and suggested by somebody else I look up to.

Cheers JD, Fabs and Andrew :)

Couple of grab shots I'm afraid.

289,
forgot again so took the compact down to the snooker club, this is the poker table and Matrix Revolutions on the projector.

290,
don't think I've ever seen straight through a hot air balloon before.

291,
Jenson Button secured the 2009 F1 World Drivers Championship today.
