List any recommended Apps here! there are a lot of apps out there, some for messing with the image, some for sharing.

first on the list is Instagram

http://instagr.am/

allows uploading to flickr, facebook, twitter, foursquare and the other one, for instant sharing. also includes a little processing to create slightly different looks. Free, so cant go wrong with that!

i'll look at both, thanks Daves..

I use Autostitch for panoramas, absolutely brilliant, functional app. Also recently got Pinhole Camera which allows you to do double-exposures and emulates expired film effects. I'd recommend that, too.

On Android I use PicSayPro, brilliant app with loads of editing options, from usual crop, sharpen, exposure, etc, right across to adding top lens filters, lomo, crossprocess, and so on. Only crit I can make of it is the limit on import sizes into the program, but they are fine for upload quickly to the 'net.

I have a BB 8900 and use PhotoMagic. It's OKish but is limited in it's ops. Can anyone recommend anything better?

BB apps are pretty expensive and there are precious few free. The camera is quite poor and my pics need all the help they can get. Thought I had a perfect pic for last weeks phonography quest until I saw it on screen at 800x600. :-(

My fav's so far, almost all free:

Camera Apps:

Pudding camera (free) -8 film types + 5 different types of camera inc Fish Eye, Large Ap DoF, Multi lens camera & Panorama, +/- 2EV , although it is in Korean!
Retro Cam Free - lots of retro effects, low res out put and watermarked
Film Lab- (59p) - the grown up version of Retro Cam full res output and 70+ film effects
Almost DSLR Free- Selective focus point, exposure & WB lock full res output (v nearly)
Super Camera Free- Variable FEL, filters & frames full res output
Live FX Lite- multiple effects which can be layered, © text sig, 960 x 712 res

PP (all free):
Simple Resize - does what it says, but image quality is not 100% and file size is still large
PS Elements - does what it says on the tin
MailMyPhoto - about the only App that I've found so far that will allow you to adjust the resolution as well as the file size. The only downside is the you have to email it to yourself.

3 real world Apps for non iPhone pics (all free):

iDoF Calc - excellent bit of software, especially for hyperfocal calculation
Light Meter - takes a reasonably accurate light assessment with a live histogram plus Tv/Av/ISO calcs. Useful for lens choice.
Reciprocity- Translates EV into ISO/Av/Tv

That should be enough to get on with!

It's already mentionned in the big list, but I rate BestCam, although I've just got Instagram as it seems to have a similar feature set.

Nowt to do with photography but i can highly reccomend CANABALT soooooo addictive

Dave

I use, for Iphone,

Camera+ (it's removed from Itunes store just now). It allows you to create a focus point and an exposure point seperately by touching the screen and dragging the points around.

PhotoFX and COOLFX from tiffen. Like layering lightroom presets and adding after effects.

Autostitch,

FilmLab, Emulates film forumlas plus additional editing

Iris. Allows layer blending

Juxtaposer: Again, allows masking and blending of layers.

Also use a few of the ones already mentioned

On my ANDROID Desire im running:

Sundroid free - Gives you the Sunset/Sunrise and Moonset/Moonrise times
Tideapp - Shows high/low tide times, i regularly shoot down a local beach so always handy to know
Google Sky Map - Useful for finding polaris when doing long exposure star trails
Exposed - Exposure calculator for ND filters
PHOforPHO - Little app for exposure times, hyperfocal distances and DOF calculators etc.

Any reccomendations for windows 7 apps?
