Ok, these I made with my new to me Ricoh SLR with the sears 50F/2.0 and 99 cents film. PP done by Walgreen's and thus are crazy over saturated. Still, I rather like them.

Loving the colours, it gives the shots a great 1950's feel to them, especially number 3.

Thanks Javier! I'll upload larger sizes this evening. I still need to perfect my colour processing though. I think my temps weren't consistent enough which effected my bx. Bit more practice eh!

On the upside, I picked up some Ektar which is sitting in the bronica now. Looking forward to shooting some of that. I hope they come out half as good as some of yours! Loving your Ricoh stuff too, the grain is wierdly wicked! Awesome photo of the lamposts/pillars by the way, really like that one :thumbs:
 
Ok, so I believe I need to work not only on my compositions in general, but mainly my Exposure and Grad choices!

#1, #2, #7, #8 are my favourite from this series; but you see just how difficult it is to choose just the one :) Love the colours and exposures on these.

Woodsy - if you need to work on your compositions etc, that's it - I'm selling up my flaming camera gear and taking up making mud-pies because there's no hope for me!

If I'd taken any of those i'd have been delighted, but 2,4 and 8 stand out for me!

Thank gawd I've got a holga coming, that way i've an excuse for bad exposure and out of focus shots :lol:

looked a bit blue, that first one..:)

edit, now it looks a bit green..:lol:

They're all great, missed the light a bit with a few but they're mostly successful.
9 is a grad job obviously, and 10 the foreground waves look a bit funny..I dunno.
2,4,6,8 are belters, but I like 12, nice light where it matters against that mucky backdrop.

Took a shot of him last month, he then tried to charge me £2 for taking it lol!
 
Not sure If I should keep this one to the Toy Camera thread, but here goes...

My Holga arrived yesterday...



Not bad for a 50g piece of plastic and bent wire :) The "viewfinder" is a bit of an aquired skill I guess... Shows something like 55% of the captured scene, not necessarily the middle bit either :lol:
 
I have got to get me one of those babbies one day!


Meantime, the Werra 1 arrived a few days ago and not knowing if it was going to work, crash and burn or just look at me I used a cheapie Chinese Era100 film... supposed to be similar to FP4 but don' you believe it! As it happened, things turned out rather well for a first run through, here's a few from the roll...

Found this bottle a few years ago and wanted to make an image similar to Irving Penn's cigarettes with it, didn't quite work how I wanted though.
Taken using Sinar rail camera, on top of a lightbox with some sheets of plain paper underneath to diffuse the light a bit, will use less paper next time so there's less texture. Fuji Pro 160S. Comments appreciated.
