Good luck with it Dave. As a cancer survivor, I can recommend you be positive - it does make a differenceThanks Toby, sadly it is the big C hence why I'm having an op on Thursday and we go from there.

Thanks to recommendation on here, I have the SEL35 F18F. It is a great lens & I am very pleased with it. Now I'm looking for a wider lens around 20mm give or take a little, with f/1.8 or lower. What options are there, Sony, Sigma, Tamron etc?
Great news that the OP went well Dave. Sounds a painful situation to be in and well worth following doctors orders. Hope you get good news in your results.OP went well but ended up with over 50 stitches in my inner thigh so have to rest and not allowed to stress my leg out at all, the surgeon who did it said it went very well and I should have my results in about 3/6 weeks.

Glad it went well Dave. Follow the Docs advice. Get well soon.I was gutted that she would not let me watch it being done, but glad it's out now.
Trying out the 35mm f1.8 on Betty eating a marrowbone. I'm impressed with this lens, renders nicely and is sharp. Takes some getting used to with the focal length as I'm amazed how close you need to get.
