I go through periods like this, sometimes mojo just comes back by itself, someone’s new gear gives me some mojo
I’m ‘forcing’ myself to go to Sheffield tomorrow because I’ve not done any ‘dedicated’ photography for quite some time, it’s just been holiday/dog walk snaps.
I know that feeling only too well - I lost mine ages ago and can't find it anywhere.

Just any shots or are you trying to see how much of the FF sensor the image circle covers?
Both actually, I’ve read it’s a great lens on the A7RV as in crop mode you still get 26mp images.
it does cover FF at the wider end but with a lot of distortion... it wouldn't rely on it for that. I haven't got samples to show in FF mode...

but used it plenty as my travel telephoto on my A7IV about 4 years ago, which gave 14mp images in crop mode which is still decent. incredible lens!

I’ve got the chance to buy an absolute mint copy for £300 so makes sense as a light carry around especially as I love to visit wildlife parks and bird sanctuary’s on my visits.

that's one of the plans i've got a few days off in a couple of weeks, I want to get out and whilst I'm off.
i tend to get out more over winter I prefer to be out in low light so winter is ideal, apart from it being cold and wet !

a change of scenery and style is needed at the minute
I get bored of going to the same places. The trouble is I like the idea of going somewhere but when push comes to shove I can't be bothered to make the effort. For example, I'd like to so more urban photography but I live in a small town which doesn't have much to offer. Sheffield is 20 minutes away but I've done that now 3 or 4 times and I want something different but that means travelling for over an hour to Manchester or Leeds and I just can't be bothered. Added to that we don't leave Betty (my dog) for more than 4 hours it limits me too.

I have spent a fair amount of time photographing Birmingham over the last couple of years, it’s about an hour from me, I like Birmingham as it’s constantly evolving at the minute, and yes sleepy hollow where I live has nothing so gets boring. Derby, Leicester and Nottingham don’t seem to be changing much so once you’ve done them you don’t get excited about going back. It’s getting that desperate I may have to go and find a tree in a field and see if I can make that look pretty or interesting
