The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Probably a wee bit late into this conversation... I've always been a vegetarian (no eggs also).
Over last year and half i have been on a journey to get healthy (mentally and physically). Have lost 25% of my body weight while maintaining or increasing muscle mass. So it perfectly possible to get all the proteins needed on a veggie diet, even more so if you eat eggs unlike me. Also recommendation is around 2g per lb of body weight or 1.2-1.6g per kg of body weight if you are resistance training and trying build/maintain muscles.
But one thing to be aware of in veggie diet and more so with a vegan diet is vitamin B12 deficiency.

Having said that.... I am veggie for personal reasons, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's like playing life on "hard mode". But I have friends who are the other extreme in that they eat nothing but meat. That is also not good.
Having a balanced diet with some or "responsible" amount of meat is probably the best way i think.
Each to their own though... vegan diet is just impossible for me to maintain. I don't use supplements, not even for getting my required protein intake.
I have a love hate relationship with eggs.

I really like eggs and my doctor always suggests eating more of them. On the flip side though I have an intolerance for them. Trust me even one egg is enough to cause problems. I try and eat one everyday but not on days I have a wedding.

I've favoured the carnivore diet for around 2 years now, although I'm relatively fit and go to the gym everyday, i found myself getting exhausted while out hiking with the camera but i put that down to my poor eating habits. Switched to carnivore and now i am more energetic than before, plus being almost 37 it was time to start eating properly with the right mix of foods.

I would recommend it to anyone.

We all know really that the best diet for most people is a balanced diet ;)

Still on diet stuff.

We started taking a protein powder in shoothies and now make our own although at the moment we're using up a shop bought one but unfortunately I was over ruled on the type and this one is vanilla flavoured and it's perfectly nice but the taste is so overpowering I can't taste anything else. We have a friend who markets a quite expensive one and with her code we get a discount. I do prefer the unflavoured or our home made one though.

I've exercised reguarly since I was a teenager and at one time I used to force feed myself in a effort to gain weight as I've always been thin. At one time I used to crack raw eggs into a glass and knock them back but it was really all to no avail. I have some muscles, a six pack and some good definition but I'll never be BIG and muscular. Sometimes genes can't be overcome.

I'm tempted by that 50mm f2 Viltrox for sale on here but in reality I don't know how much I'd use it. I moved away from 50mm to 35mm and now the Sony 40mm f2.5 is my most used lens but I do keep thinking maybe I'd use a 50mm more if I had one... as opposed to the Sony 55mm f1.8 I have. I'm also a bit worried by 3rd party AF performance.

Anyway. It's still for sale if anyone wants it. Looks to be a good price too.
