Got a little present waiting for me at home... And another waiting for me at the post office which I'm assuming will be the second yn560.
Maybe it's the yongnuo at home and the 23 at post office
It's very nice. Quick to focus and sharp at 1.4. It's a nice solid lump.
Will see how it does over the weekend.
Do the newer lenses no longer come in a nice presentation box with foam insert etc?
Thanks Simon. Wasn't sure if it was different just because it was grey or if they had gone down the cheaper route. Shame.
Sounds like a good investment! I have been impressed with the high iso on the xt1 myself. How do you find the build quality of the 23?Yes, my X-T1 was in the same kinda packaging but never gave it a thought.
Just got in from the in laws and thought i'd see how the 23 does in low light. Coming from the 35 and 60 which were quite frankly awful in low light/tricky lighting condition, this wasn't really any different to how it focused in the daylight earlier on! Impressive! Also tried iso 6400... that'll do me nicely! My D7k/D71k looked like this at 1600.
No noise reduction at all, sharpening up to 30 and tried the masking slider which was set to 92.

Excuse the subject matter.
The xe1 deal on the return shop is pretty good.. In the meantime, is there a cheaper alternative recommendation? Fuji or otherwise. Looking to spend around £400.
Did you get any moving shots Marc? How did the 55-200 perform?
Hi Brian. It's a very solid lump of a thing. The focus ring gives a very solid click when you pull back to disengage AF and the ring is smooth. The Aperture ring seems to offer up a better feel when moving it. The 35 i had wasn't quite as refined and would often be on f1.6/2 without me realising. The hood is huge though but i kind of like it. I won't be using it without or changing it for the smaller circular one like some people do. I will see how i get on with it over the weekend, but i may add the extra grip and see how it feels then. I added one to my E-M10 and it was a very good addition.
Was this the graphite version?
Meh. What lens? 56? Does the bokeh look weird also or is that normal? Looks a bit swirly like my Helios.
Knew it couldn't shoot cars...
I have no idea mate, it's a weird one. Fire an email off to Fuji and see if they come up with anything. What if this had been at a wedding or for a paid event? Do they look normal on the back of the camera?
