Taken two years ago in Spain. Bessa R3a Nokton 40mm f1.4,Velvia50 slide.

Dark Promenade

I've been through every single film photo I've taken, rejects included, and can't find a single one I've taken in the dark. Still, in the interests of joining in, I'm going to set the bar really low for this challenge and present this moderately spooky shot of an overgrown path. Olympus XA2 in low light, Vista pushed to 800, semi-stood in Rodinal. It's amazing there's anything on the neg, to be honest.

Judging by the 'discussions' thread, I'm one of a few sad people with nothing better to do at night than wander round with a film camera. I'm spoiled for choice but here's one of the technical rehearsal for the London Olympics. I was lucky enough to have a ticket but it wasn't clear whether cameras would be permitted and the Parachute Regiment were doing the entry security. Rather than risk having my favourite low light camera (a Yashica Electro 35) confiscated, I risked an Olympus XA2.

Club 35 on Leinster Terrace did a first rate job of processing and scanning the film and produced better results than I could get with my Scan Dual II. The film was Fuji Press 800.

Taken in 1971, the year I arrived in Australia for my "two year contract" (and stayed 20 years!). It's taken at the Royal Adelaide Show with the Werra 1, and apparently on Tri-X! The emulsion shows strong signs of significant damage, possibly the effects of the strong temperature variations over many years (no central heating, so the temperature in parts of the house varied from perhaps 5 degrees to at least 35 degrees C).

Poll is up and will close in 7 days

Typical academic, completely oblivious to the real world.
