This is a totally pointless post and i doubt will gage any interest from anyone, but you guys are the only people who actually understand this.

I bought the Canon 70-200F4 USM last night from this forum and I am BUZZING with excitment waiting for its arrival tomorrow....

Surely NO post is pointless, nothing in my mind is greater than the expectation and arrival of something we look forward to.

When we are children it may be Christmas or a Birthday or a trip to the sea or a present, why, tell me why, just because we get older should that excitement go, life is too short, have fun with the new lens.

Yes, truly pointless because it's only a matter of time before you come over to Nikon and that lens is used as a doorstop ;)

ITS HERE.......... ITS HEREEEEEEE ... and its MARVELOUS :D ive got my happy face on at the moment, not had a chance to get it on the camera yet as im currently at work, but its stood proudly on my desk for all to see.... no one quite gets why theres a grinning idiot in the corner with a phalac shaped object sitting on their desk though...

I wont get mine before chrimbo which i am gutted about, its not the same lens, still excited though, the wife is not impressed with how much it cost but hey i worked for it and she got what she wanted under the tree.

I will be a grinning idiot too at thet begining of jan sometime!

Had a play, its so obvious why theres so much hype about this lens. its fantastic, the sharpness is amazing, bockh is amazing and everything is just generally amazing.

However

I will, at some point, upgrade to the 2.8 simply for the lower light conditions, but that is a personal choice rather than a fault with the lens.

A very happy chappy here, just in time for christmas.

The honest answer is, I havent had a lot of chance to use it at all just yet, but I am hoping to get a good chance over the next few days, will post some piccies up asap :D
