WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Another cheap visit from the Plumber, I love that guy, so nice to find an honest tradesman by sheer luck

1/2 dreading the wait in the waiting area(!) for my MRI this afternoon but still got there 15 minutes early to make sure I wasn't the cause of any hold up for my 16:20 appointment. Had just finished putting on my MRI proof clothes and removed all metal (a glance at my watch told me it was 16:15 as I took it off) when I was called in. Surprised me a little since I'd bumped into a golf buddy and his wife who told me that they were running 40 minutes late when she had hers done. Turns out that the scanner they were using for heads was running to schedule but the one they were using for lower was behind. Other than the discomfort of lying dead still for about 15 minutes, the only pain came when the nurse/radiographer (can never get the hang of the colour coding the RD&E use for their scrubs!) took the tape that was holding the line into my arm in off! Got a little bald patch in the crook of my right elbow now (to match the larger one atop me swede!)

If the crooks of your elbows are hairy, you need to sort that out! :puke::ROFLMAO:

:p

And it's only the left crook (of elbow!) that's still hairy. Palms are balder than my head.

Only one more day and then 9 whole days off.
Need it after this week, 3 afternoon collections which equate to 12 hour days and agreed to work my day off today
shattered but I'll be rich on pay day

Just a brilliant weekend. :)

After 2 years of "calling" the frogs in my pond, must have finally signed up to a dating agency ( Plenty of fish perhaps? )
As I now have Frog spawn :)

(And a little toad spawn at the other end wrapped around the elodea too, bonus)

And a loft full of snake's porn?

(Someone had to say it!)

Nope the only snake now is the 8 foot Boa and that's in my sons room :p

Feather or scaled? :p

Setting off alarms as I walked in and out of shops in Crawley
Seems their sensor were overreacting to my metal bits

Although I'd rather have seen a gagging order as well. (With the gag held in with Gorilla glue!)

WCMUT was watching the cat vibrating with excitement over the squirrel on the lawn about 5' away from her. In her younger days she was able to catch them but now all she can do is watch.

Is that the cat equivalent to cat porn? :D

Probably! She was "done" before Mum and Dad got her so she'll never know what she's missed - barbs and all!!! Daft bint got a hell of a shock when she came round the corner to find us scrubbing Mrs Nod's car roof - she's (the cat, not Mrs Nod...) really allowed out at the front so knew she was somehow in the wrong place but this time she was caught in the act!

Catching tantalising glimpses of Wildwood Escot's new wolves. Still got 3 1/2 months of quarantine to go before they're on display but they're apparently settling in well. Spotted a bat flying around in full daylight too - probably a Pipistrelle just out of hibernation and hungry! It was lucky the falcons over which it was flying were tied down - one of the falcons is a Peregrine x Aplomado (?) and the Aplomado half hunts bats!

News of my wife's Cousin in South Africa has had a baby, a little girl, born premature with a large hole in her heart, its been touch and go, family asked to be on hand as she may not make it.............................however the little fighter has gone from strength to strength and the hole has reduced greatly over the last 2 weeks and the hospital staff are calling it little miracle......and saying if this continues she may be able to go home with Mum and Dad........and have a little operation in a few months to sort her heart out....Happy Days!

This did not have the same effect on me however......
However while they were all in hospital dealing with this.........Their house was broken into and most of their possessions of any value taken.........they have a very unique perspective of what is important....but they could have done without the break-in.

Indeed Crap is the word, But they have as I said a perspective that is as stark as it could possible be, STUFF does not matter, Only LIFE.......We will all have a family collection to replace there stuff, couple of laptops and some other things...it transpires 8 years of research has gone too, and the thieves also found his hidden backup drive with his work all backed up incase of a break-in and they have taken that too...so........a lesson to anyone with important work on HDD....

Yesterday as I entered the supermarket a small girl and what seemed like her older brother about 9 years old, rushed past me. And I heard him say "perhaps you lost it outside" to which she replied "No. It was definitely..." and they disappeared into the shop. She'd clearly lost something important. And he'd been sent to help her find it.
Later I caught a glimpse of them running back through the supermarket. Both in high spirits and I heard the girl say "... and she was so nice about it as well..." And they were gone.

I guess they'd asked a staff member who'd got, and handed back, what she'd lost.
It was nice get closure on that, as I could have so easily missed them on their way out. And the happy end to their fragmented story.
