Had a nice surprise to see three beautiful Mute Swans flying towards me to-day. This was at Porthmadog, Gwynedd.

I do like Swans in flight and the lighting on yours looked awkward but as you have allowed editing I thought I would have a look at it so have done a levels adjustment and tweak in USM LCE settings More/better could be done on the original (raw?) file.

Tom just a quick point that may help and common with black birds and day light - a 2 sec adjustment - pull the blue saturation back - there is blue in your image

Finished work early to go for a walk, to try out my new lens, whilst the sun was shining. When I got to my destination, of course it greyed over

This is a Red Wattle Bird that sat there and let me take its photo.
I think it is a younger one as it is missing the Yellow on the belly region and the tail feathers are not wide as it should be.
