Hello, thought it might be fun to post a few pics of your favourite plane and why you like it...bit bored on a Friday night :(

My choice is the F-16. Always loved this jet since childhood and the cheesy Iron Eagle movies! Got to sit in a cockpit when
I was young and loved it :) Not the latest and greatest but to me has beauty and character.

These were all taken at RIAT 2010

i didnt take this so i hope its ok...for me this is the bomber of all time

Fokker 50. Spent 3 years dispatching these and became very fond of them.

Excuse the quality, it was taken with my old Sigma lens.

Me in the cockpit of an Antonov 124 at Manchester airport does that count :)
Photo taken with camera phone!

That AN-124 doesn't look as Soviet as I thought it would, I've seen what a Bear cockpit looks like with analog guages and dials everywhere. Refreshing!

Here's mine in the hands of Mark Linney;

I do wonder if with rising Avtur prices have they chosen to run it on biodiesel?

Mine without question is a Mosquito but I don't think I've got a single picture of one :(

sorry can not choose just one.

I had a flight in this at kemble a few years ago.

Not my image BTW.

Without doubt the scariest experience of my life!! When the pilot gets out of the seat mid flight and starts manualy pumping fuel into the engines, you know you are in for a ride! :puke:

Tommy, Love No.4 with the heat ripple!
Dave, can you remember/check exif for the time the A380 was over Dunham Massey? I'm looking to be at Dunham in November, if its a scheduled flight I wouldn't mind seeing it myself when I am passing there.

PS Favourite plane would be the A-10 but I don't think I'd spot one anytime soon though!

For me it has to be the Concord.
She was so ahead of her time and whether taxiing or in flight she oozed elegance. Such a shame that now she is just a museum piece.

Concord = BeAutiful

Nothing short of magnificent.

:nikon:

Couldn't agree more mate (about Concorde, Not Nikon :p )

Still brings a tear to my eye even now, seriously :crying:
Ever since I was a kid I always had a dream of flying on Concorde. Now It's never going to happen.........

mine is the lightning, and i love your shot Kev, it just shows the power that they had.

they are literally a pair of engines with a seat strapped to the top aren't they.
