HTML Email - <img> without src= as attachment

Not sure if mail clients will like that image tag, have you tried closing it the other way? Img doesn't normally have a closing tag, and the " /" keeps things xhtml compliant.

    Panorama of The Quiraing

We had the chance to spend some time on Skye at the start of July, and spent some time at the top of The Quiraing, which we werent expecting to be able to drive all the way up to the top! I was testing out a 24-105l and decided to try a panoramic stitch.... The timing (late morning / early...

    long exposure using welding glass

I think I prefer the b/w. I know I had problems restoring the color in a few welding glass shots I took, it may be that its having to push a bit too far with the processing? How long did that gull on the end of the groyne stay still for? ;) Stu

    Icons

Have to be honest, I like all three so hard to choose between them. I cant help but think that the crops are slightly awkward, but that's a taste thing - cracking shots all round!

    Sunset over the hill

There's definitely something in there that appeals to me. Not sure if a portrait crop so that the silhouetted area fills the frame would work better as the image gets lost a bit in the black space. On my screen I can see a hard edge down the left side of the glow? is that a building perhaps? I...

    Shooting "the Board"

Thanks guys. The idea for the meeting shots came from them as they want some shots to use in content articles and not just mugshots for profiles. Will take onboard comments and see how it goes. Cheers Stu

    Shooting "the Board"

I've been asked to take some shots of the board members for the website, but have never really done a "people" shoot before - I tend to do mostly landscape / nature / abstract stuff just now. We've pencilled in for 9am on friday indoors. Anything in particular I should be watching for / doing /...

I like the Nikon 50mm f/1.8, but then I like the Canon 50mm f/1.8, too

    The past few mornings...

Thanks ;) Larger version is available on flickr I was in two minds tbh. I don't feel that they detract from the image (although when looking at the full res version they may; on closer inspection, provoke discussion from the more observant) but can see the benefits of removing them. Its...

    The past few mornings...

..the sunrise and starting work have happily co-existed... I've been lucky enough to get out and about for an hour or so each morning... Pick of the bunch so far for me is this one, that I'm really happy with.. IMG_5557_8_9 by lividfish, on Flickr All comments welcomed ;) Stu

    A Few from Dublin Zoo

Oddly enough, the only image with a vignette is the penguin (Saying that, the wolf and rhino were shot through glass, which may have had an impact). I've had a play around with my monitors here (neither of which were anywhere near calibrated) and revisited the images, and after lightening them a...

    A Few from Dublin Zoo

Cheers :) Chances are it's my monitor at home that's a little bright. Looking at them at work they are a little on the dark side (cue darth vader sound fx). Really need to tweak the screen settings tbh.

Wide angle lens and filter rings

I was just about to post a very similar question for my sigma 10-20mm. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :)
