    Swans at Grendon Lakes

Caught this shot of swans on the lake at a car club camping weekend on Saturday. A friend was throwing pieces of bread into the lake and all of a sudden they all approached the shore in line :D Captured it with my new Sigma 55-200mm lens that I bought from a TP user before going on...

    Tywyn Beach @ Sunset

All fantastic shots but has to be number three for me - almost like being there  Haven't been to Tywyn beach for a few years now, lovely sunset you captured there :)

Wet British F1 GP - Friday (ADDED A FEW MORE)

Great shots, but it has to be number four for me - it's captured the feeling of speed and also picked up the aerodynamic effect of the floor with the spray from the front wheels being sucked along the car floor. Nice shot!

    good "getting the basics" Book

    First time poster!

It was a night shot - that's the moon :D Yeah I think I was more happy with it due to the fact that I managed it in Manual mode which is a scary place for me! I found the hardest part trying to manual focus when it's virtually pitch black - if you've any tips on that it would be much...

    First time poster!

Well I've been visiting Talk Photography for some time now, admiring some of the stunning work that gets posted here. Thought it was about time I posted my first photo on here :D I'm still a complete novice when it comes to dSLR photography but getting braver all the time. Took this when we...

    32 Bit sunsets

1 and 2 are stunning shots - particularly the second one....love the contrast between the reflections of the sky with the rocks under the water in the foreground. The way you've captured the light and colour in the first shot is almost like 'being there'. Nice work

    Sunsets on 21st

Love number 1 - grey angry looking skies with the sunset breaking through. One I would be happy to have on the wall

    Jubilee beacon, Huddersfield

Number one is a fantastic shot - love the way you captured the colours in the sky and I think the shadowy figure adds something too

    Wild Camping

Number two for me - love that shot and the contrast in lighting. Saying that, I'd have been proud to have taken any of those :)

Climbing Snowdon for the first time...

I found some parts of the Pyg track a bit scary - but then that was a long time ago! :cuckoo: As said, the Miners track gives some great photo opportunities and there's (and I can't remember what it's called - Llanberis Pass??) the path that goes from Llanberis and meets the railway track...

    Filters.....

Ok I'm a complete novice with this sort of thing (still using the stock 18-55mm Lens with my D500). I keep reading on here about 10 stoppers (and I like the results they give). What about UV/Polarising filters - what sort of effect do these have on your photos? Do I need a specific type to...
