The weather has already been MENTAL up here in Halifax. My street was a total river - I watched the recycling bins make their way down the hill...
Then thunder and lightning - exciting!
As ever, "it's all about the light" and perhaps you just need more! In an ideal world, nice bright sunshine to really make the droplets 'zing' but under a bit of cover so the exposure is even.
As said before, it's going to need a fast shutter speed to freeze those droplets.
Might sound daft...
The first shot! That's almost identical to my wife's family home in co. Cavan!
Such a beautiful place - miss it loads! Great shot and thanks for bringing back very happy memories!
There's been stuff all over the internet about this. Am I too much of a conspiracy theorist or do you reckon MS *knew* it might make a mess off Google and therefore drive a bit more traffic in the direction of Bing?
I really hate intrusive photography in situations like this and would never like to think I was 'getting in the way' or in any way negatively influencing the events of the day.
The trouble is, there are some weddings where as a 'tog you actually DO have to push it along a little or nothing...
Don't be afraid - chuck it into manual and expose for the background, fire the flash at the subject and use exposure comp for the rest. Letting the camera do it is no fun at all!
