    Probate, LPA, will advice

If probate has been granted, it and the will becomes a public document and can be downloaded. It's only a couple of quid to do it, but will give you the estimated value of the estate and the will, will obviously tell you who the executor is and where /who your dad left his estate to...

CPI (in January) plus 3.9% increases in March

Virgin have just announced they will be using RPI +3.9%. Been with them for over 20 years and I think it's time to look elsewhere. I know that others have CPI+ and prices will still increase, but I think Virgin will lose a lot of customers going the RPI route.

2 night 1 day visit to London Natural History Museum.

I worked for the company that installed and fabricated a lot of the suspended walkway in the dinosaur section (assuming it's still there). Three of us worked there overnight and it was a spooky place to be in. It was made worse by the dinosaur exhibition on display at the time, constantly...

The Formula 1 / IndyCar Thread

I think the result was a shame for F1. Had this been any other race during the season, it would have finished under the SC. LH was a very gracious loser, given how Max reacted the previous week on the podium (he walked off for those who didn't see it), I doubt he would have acted in the way...

    The Price Of Fuel.

I remember when there was a budget and fuel duty went up by 2p or 3p per gallon, everyone was up in arms about it. Convert the pricing to litres and it goes up by 3p/l and no one cares that it's just gone up by around 13p/gallon. Maybe we need to forget miles per gallon and move to miles per...

Excitement day and a first for me

I've seen something similar a few years back. Traffic was slowed, cop car chased another down the hard shoulder which stopped a little too easily. They grabbed the passenger and the car drove of the slip road. It all seemed to be staged and ended too quick. I put it down to some sort of a...

Birmingham cars could be banned from driving through city centre

If only we were all 'ordinary' drivers. A lot of drivers will speed up in between the gantries, catching up with other cars and sitting close behind them to get them to change lanes. Some will travel slightly slower and some slightly faster than the indicated speed, so bunching occurs again...

Formula 1 (and other categories) 2019

Managed to avoid seeing the result all day, only for the missus to switch the local news on and they announce it an hour before the highlights start.:mad:

Not now, but it was he who demanded the high prices putting free to air out of the running. It's £10/month if you have Sky. I think Nowtv has it for £195 up front and you get all the other sport channels I won't watch.

Formula 1 (and other categories) 2019

I agree about copyright and wasn't intending doing it. However I am one of the (possibly) many F1 fans who doesn't have or want Sky. Sadly the greed of F1 (and Bernie) has spoilt it for many, and I'm willing to bet there are quite a few going down this route.

Has anyone gone down the VPN route to watch the races? Seems a simple and much cheaper option https://www.vpnfan.com/blog/formula-one-f1-vpn/

Formula 1 (and other categories) 2019

The cost is also for 10 other live channels, so if you like other sports it's probably a good deal. To watch just the F1, which is all I would be interested in, makes it a little more costly. Family and real life events/commitments means there's no guarantee I could see every race live, which...
