Where should i advertise equipment i have on ebay

Playing devil's advocate here, in theory i could just state prices which are higher than anyone would expect to pay for the items and thus playing by the rules?

Where should i advertise equipment i have on ebay

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX items on ebay. I've looked through the rules and it says fo it to go into the classifieds section on here i have to be willing to end the item early. Apart from the fact that i want to run as an auction - i thought this was against ebay's rules?? For...

HELP: Looking for a lightweight compact for landscapes only

Well I do enjoy my 24-105 wide open on my 5D and while it would be great to have true 24mm, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over 1 or 2 mm. The LX3 looks like a great camera - the 16:9 aspect ration option particularly caught my eye! What's the battery life like on it? From what I've just...

HELP: Looking for a lightweight compact for landscapes only

I'm getting more and more into hill/mountain walking and now i'm starting to carry tent and sleeping bag etc too I really need to reduce volume and weight in my pack. I'm now at the point where the bulkiest and heaviest item is my 5D/40D with 17-40 F4L. Hence, I'm looking for a small...

Why don't I ever see a slow, light prime?

I'd love canon (or anything compatible with 5D) to make something like a 24mm F5.6 or F8 that wouldn't need so much glass but would be great as a lightweight landscape lens to lug up hills. Get rid of autofocus and any IS stuff, just a 24mm lens that's optimum aperture is something like F11 or...

    strobist stuff

Learning off-camera flash is akin to learning how to use an SLR for the first time IMO. Don't go for anything too complicated and make sure you get some shots "in the bag" first before you start going for anything really good so you're not left with nothing.

    Polarising a flash?

It will reduce glare because the light will all be at the same angle rather than at infinite angles so it can only be reflected back to the lens by one particular angled surface rather than many. Garry, how is the sunlight naturally polarised? In the physics I did through college/uni I...

    Joomla modules

Have you verified that your FTP settings within joomla are correct? If so then you should be installing through the CP by uploading the zip file.

    studio lighting in nature

Portable strobes (like 430EX or 580EX or viv 285 etc) with some kind of remote trigger but depending on ambient light conditions and/or what you're trying to achieve/light up then you could be looking at studio flashes with a portable power supply.

    pocketwizards? are they worth it?

Pocket Wizards all the way for me, never had a miss-fire. I bought some cheap ebay triggers, tested them and found they were so unreliable it would look stupid infront of a client. So I went with PWs and never looked back. If you see any fashion/catalog shoots or such like on tv (or in...

Sometimes I wish I ignored the news....

Stuff like this has happened for years, centuries even. We just never heard about them as much before but now communications is global instantly, we hear about them. Ignorance is bliss ;) We can all make up statistics if we want to, but that gets us nowhere ;)

Product Shot: How was it done?

I've been asked by my previous company to do some product shots similar to this and if they are happy with them then they may use me as their photographer. I've got much better ideas for how to do a good photo of this product but I also want to provide one like this in my proofs for them...

    My struggle with the 50D

I've always imported images straight into lightroom from the camera. Will it really make any difference using EOS utility et al?

    Fire photography

Where did you hear/read that? I've often wondered what the equivalent speed of the eye/brain is and i've not been able to find any info although personally I did put it in the region of 1/20-1/30 sec
