    Thinking of buying a GW690...

I had one of the MK1 versions a good number of years ago, purchased without issue from Japan and, even taking into account duty and Parcelforce etc still much cheaper at the time than UK prices. Echoing a number of previous posters, it's a no frills unit with a high quality lens. However I found...

Show us yer film shots then!

Holiday, 4 nights ex-Beijing on an organised trip (which is really the only possible way of doing it); as unusual and contradictory as expected, highly recommended if that sort of thing is of interest. Happy to give more detail if you want to PM.

Hasselblad 45 deg Prisim finder question

Cant give you an opinion on the Hasselblad PME versions, I use a plain (unmetered) Kiev 45deg - it fits perfectly and was considerably cheaper. I find the 45deg to be easy to use and focus out and about compared to the WLF, which even with a 'bright' screen is a bit dim for focussing without the...

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2015 - April 26th

Better late than never! My contribution to WPPD, taken of the bandstand in a local park on the Zero pinhole. Much of the roll was wasted as a result of massive overexposure from totally misreading the exposure conversion chart, even then the ok images still required a lot of 'tweaking' after...

Show us yer film shots then!

Yep, when exposures are in the range of minutes there's a fair chance of capturing movement! The overall blurriness is something I'm going to have to check out though, as it seems more prominent than I think it should (and have seen elsewhere by others) - either the pinhole itself is...

A pinhole from what has recently become my 'go-to' location and used for a 'straight' shot a page or two back. Struggled with the scanning on this roll, framing is also quite the hit-and-miss affair! Zero pinhole Acros 100 HC-110 (Dil. G) semi-stand for 1hr img428a by djguru32, on Flickr

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

Well in the space of a week two Swedish beauties turn up on here! After selling the Texas Leica this arrived last Friday, a 500CM with the standard 80mm 2.8 CT* Distagon. Better condition than I expected really except for the WLF, which has a slight twist in it and that means the pop-up...

Show us yer film shots then!

Hip-hop legends Public Enemy played in Belfast on Tuesday night. What better to take along than a film P&S to float amongst the sea of smartphone videographers? Cue the Olympus XA3... Strong lights, lots of movement both on stage and in the crowd, so challenging conditions; whilst technically...

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

We were lucky enough to away in Anaheim within the last few weeks and, following on from a recent scanner thread, I decided to pick up one of these... Pakon F135 by djguru32, on Flickr A Kodak Pakon F135 Plus. I don't normally shoot much 35mm but I always hated scanning anything I've shot on...

Show us yer film shots then!

The table I used was specific to Fomapan 100 (from Pinhole Designer IIRC) and you're right about the lengthy times, the image I posted was metered at (from memory) about 1 sec at f22 and including reciprocal at f138 the exposure was 7 minutes. Definitely going to try Acros instead...

Show us yer film shots then!

From my first film through the Zero 2000 pinhole (6x6 on 120), using Fomapan 100. This is the only one on the roll which has some tones in it, the remainder are a mix of over-exposures, double exposures and emptiness based on not getting the hang of the wiiide field of view. Looks like Fomapan...

Some great stuff in the last few pages, SouthernJessies 'Tulip Stairs' is just fabulous! After being happy with the roll of Adox 50 I shot, I thought I'd try out Ilford PanF+ 50 on last weekend's landscape shoot. Rodinal R09 1:50 stand for 20 minutes. Reed Reflection_Lough MacNean_14 by...
