I've got one I can sell on the cheap, half price of whatever they are new?
I have three however I only have two flash units! I did once have three flash units but then my YN560 failed on me. :(
.. mind you saying that, I wonder where I put it! It also has some velcro glued to the...
Does your camera allow you to shoot in different aspect ratios? I know my old Lumix buggered up files in RAW that were shot at a 1:1 aspect ratio after they introduced the feature through a firmware update.
It's an interesting approach, but personally I don't feel like you've captured Manchester at all.. nothing screams out and says "THIS IS MANCHESTER!" to me. Especially the shots of Afflecks, it's a very iconic place and you could get some great shots there - but in yours it just looks like the...
I use manual mode whenever I have control over the lighting on the subject, so in a studio or with external lights at my control then it's always going to be that for me. Simply aligning the marker to the point in the middle isn't going to cut it for me under those situations and I can't rely on...
If you want to trigger your flash remotely and independently from the camera's shutter then a pair of Yongnuo flash triggers will do, hook the receiver up to the flash unit and then you press the button on the transmitter to fire the flash.
I was reading another forum and I came across this quote in a Canon vs Nikkor lens thread..
I daren't question the guy as I haven't even posted on the forum yet and you know how people get when someone new comes along! But just to clarify and for my peace of mind.. any idea what this bloke...
That sounds about right, I guess. I always work towards the rule of if the shutter speed is slower than the focal length when hand holding then there will be camera shake, which is when it's time to put on IS.
So if you're getting 1/200th of a second at 400mm then there will be camera shake...
Potentially stupid question..
.. but how are you supposed to accurately focus on a subject that is way outside the AF points and shooting at f1.2/f1.4 on a 5D? Is it extremely difficult to get it right, as I'm pretty sure focus and recomposing at such a small DoF is just going to cause all...
What are you putting in on your DoF chart for the focal length, because if the bit in bold is true which Richard says then your calculations are going to be way off. You should be entering in a focal length between 4.2mm and 126mm.
Hi Josh.
It all depends on what you're going to be shooting and if you have any long term plans for what area you want to get into. I assume you'll be needing some lenses with that camera too?!
Don't let buying second hand put you off either, it's a great way to pick up some excellent cameras...
Or an even cheaper option..
Take your lens/body cap off.
Place a peice of clingfilm infront of the camera.
Voila! You have yourself a holga lens.
