Great little series, Milan certainly seems like a very beautiful place at night. 'Pza Repubblica' is my favorite but I feel it might be even better if you went for a symmetrical composition.

I prefer the second one. Not because of the focus, but because it's not overexposed like the first. Anyway it still raised a smile so good job!

Both look pretty underexposed and soft to me but if you addressed these issues I think they'd be pretty strong images.

I think the popularity of the 85mm's may be due to the fact that it's a slightly more versatile/ useful focal length for most people.

If you own the 24-70 and a macro prime lens then the sigma 18-50 will only be useful as a wide angle for 18-24.

Number 3 onwards are all great, excellent PP work and some strong compositions.

Since the OP is shooting with a 50d, I wouldn't recommend the 28-135 as it's not very wide on a crop camera. The canon 17-85mm IS is comparable in most ways but more suitable for a crop camera IMO.

Switch it off, it will be trying to fight against the panning motion and will be useless.
